Scam Keywords are good for affiliate marketing - its the classic bait and switch.
People who are thinking of buying do their research by typing "product name" scam. So crafty marketers intercept that traffic and direct it back toward the offer. There is nothing special about site build it. I am willing to bet there are more wordpress installations on the first page of google than site build it. Congrats on your success. |

Networkmemetics,
Yes, you're absolutely right about scam words being a classic marketing strategy. It's sneaky and I don't like it, but that's just the way of the world. Thanks for your kind words about our success. We're really pleased, and excited about the future. I think there *is* something special about SBI. I don't think our site would have made it into the top 1% of most-visited sites on the web within 6 months if we hadn't used it. Maybe that's just me, and my newness to business. Perhaps you already had all the tools and knowledge you needed to succeed. But I was a "business virgin", and a "site-building virgin". Maybe in the end I would have figured out how to build a successful ebusiness without SBI. But boy did SBI save me a lot of time, and my time is precious! Yes, there are probably more wordpress sites on page 1 google than SBI sites. But that's not what really matters, and it's mainly because there are waaay more wordpress sites than SBI sites. What matters as a new business owner is this: "If I choose option XXX, what are my chances of success?". Well, 60% of SBI owners make it into the top 3% of most-visited sites on the web, and 30% make it into the top 1%. Those are pretty decent odds. Yes, wordpress is pretty cool. It's a nice way of hosting your content. But SBI is a different type of product. It's like hosting plus an MBA course in e-business plus a course in html and web design plus a course in content-writing plus a course in picking the right niche plus... a lot more. Wishing you all much success in your business ventures, Tobias P.S. I'm kind of confused by why there's so much resistance to SBI on these forums when it's the perfect sort of time-saving device that Tim Ferris recommends. Somewhere in 4HWW he says something about "if you want to succeed at a particular task, find someone who's already done it and ask them how they did it, because it's the fastest way to learn". Well, there are 1000s of successful SBI businesses, and SBI lays out exactly step by step how to replicate their success. For $300! My work colleagues spend more than that on chocolate bars each year. Okay time to shut up now because I'm starting to sound like an evangelist again. Sorry

Officer_dibble,
I understand about keeping day job and forum life separate. There are all too many cases nowadays of people losing their jobs after silly posts on facebook etc. Nice to hear your take on what it's like working for a charity. I really would like to try it one day, and I can imagine that you'd feel a different sort of motivation in that kind of work. Anyway, all the best with your endeavours, Tobias |

For me it's the only way to fill the void. Not just a good way but the way to be. I work at a non profit, volunteer and donate in what ways I can. That gives back to me in so many ways. This is a common mindset and way of being for all successful people. Even Tim wants to help change the way schools work and that, he believes, is his biggest goal. (That is what he said in one of his videos- "How to feel like the Incredible Hulk"). While money is important, if passion is there and ideally primary to money the money part takes care of itself. Money is just energy, and thus the passionate energy with the right mix of money consciousness creates synergy between both aspects of life. It's become quite simple now. |
