Hi-

I have been putting the pieces together for my muse now for a while. Ive come to the point where I want to test the market before I make an inventory committment. My product has a specific niche which generally shops on the web. My idea would be to put together a short(time) adwords campaign and look to see if my product has enopugh interest behind it. I would count clicks which would go to a blank webpage. It is a new product for this niche and there are no direct competitors. Anyone have any experience testing like this, or can recomend a better way?

you'd prob prefer not, however would be good to know what it is generally speaking.
simple answer is yes, and see my post here:

note that if it is something with repeat business and it takes off then those people may never come back and get pissed off that they got sent to a site that doesn't work... (think really large hoo-har free songs no strings attached backed by industry website - sound familiar of anything around at the moment!?!?!)

yea I thought about that. It is something that would have repeat business. I am planning to use a dummy web address for the the adwords test. I will also make the ad generic so that when I roll out the real website people browsing would not associate the two.
