Hi guys. I'm new to the forum but I like what I see so far. Upon researching drop shipping, I came across this free online "ebook" from http://www.dropshipprofessor.com. It looks to be a new blog. Download the ebook directly here without having to sign up for his mailing list (http://www.dropshipprofessor.com/ebook/Insider_Drop_Ship_Secrets.pdf) (PDF link).

I took out some useful things from his writings and just wanted to pass it on to the readers of this forum.

As for myself, Tim's book proved a good motivational tool and I have come up with a few muse ideas, one of which I see great potential in. I have submitted my LLC paperwork so I can get an EIN and hopefully get things rolling.

Thank you for the link - I haven't read it yet but I wanted to point out 2 things to anyone considering drop shipping. I don't like to be negative but here goes -

1) The obvious: if there is a good dropshipper to be found online chances are 1700 ebay sellers and 1,000 other online businesses have found them too.

Your best bet for finding drop shipping sources is attending a trade show in your area(s) of interest. If you find a company and their drop shipping operation is easily found online run for the hills well, wait check retail competition and THEN run for the hills . . .

2) Do not solely rely on one dropshipper. I had a friend who did this (luckily it wan't their ony online venture) and for about a year and a half things went swimmingly: she made a decent amount per month (around about $2K if I recall) for minimal work then one day it all turned to sh*t. The company re-assigned reps and my friend got stuck with the rep from hell. The woman did not send tracking info when promised, constantly shipped the wrong product, etc. etc.

What was a nice little stress free business that cost my friend very little time or money went from swell to complete hell in a matter of weeks.

The company insisted they could not get their old rep back and after weeks of trying to placate annoyed customers my friend had to pull the plug.

Remember: a good drop shipping company is never in want for customers and when they're drop shipping for you their name is not on the line with your customers YOU are.

Not trying to hijack the thread but how does drop shipping work at the site level. I put products on my site, customer clicks to purchase, then does my site have a shopping cart installed? How does the order get to the drop shipper?

Dude...This thread is 2 years old. Your post is completely off topic. Either PM the OP, make a new thread, or just google your question for a more comprehensive answer.

Without a product, website, or muse you shouldn't wast your time looking at drop shippers.
