Hey guys im glad ive found this forum.Ever since i found the 4hww by stumbling on stumbleupon.com i have been sure that this is what i want to do.It has provided a little clarity because i know for sure one of my biggest dreams is simple...to run my own business remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world. At this point i am largely overwhelmed but the good news is that i am close to finishing my dreamline at least and this whole process is helping me to get away from a long time habit of perfectionism. What has hit me hardest was how Tim said in the book, "What we fear most is what we most need to do." Well this is what i fear most so i am proud of myself for running towards my fear i just need a little help.

My question is this, Does anyone on here have a successful muse because i am on the end of my dreamlining process and one of my action steps is to ask someone who has one how they did it.Any help would be greatly appreciated, ive noticed that the people on these forums are so very helpful i am hoping to be in the position to be helping others along the process it would just be really nice to keep gathering momentum with this thing and watch my dreams actualize.Thank you guys in advance.

I am in the process of developing my own muse, but it's not quite finished yet, so I might not be the right person to interview.

But there are some good success stories, especially if you look into Tim's blog in the video article from january 10 about "Your 4-hour work week success".

Good research, some of the videos are really inspiring.

I second what liam said. Those videos were great. I still play the "10 Year Tribute" one sometimes because I like the song and seeing where that guy has gone while living his 4HWW life. Here's a link to them: http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2009/12/31/cold-remedy-15-real-world-lifestyle-design-case-studies-now-its-your-turn/

Enjoy!

I was able to successfully build a muse in 30 days. I followed the steps in the book and am drop shipping a product. I am now working on finishing Step III - Income autopilot and should only have to monitor the muse for about 1 hour per week at this point.

The most important thing to me is to stick to Tim's tips on profit margin (8-15x mark up) and price points ($50-$200). There are a lot of things out there that will work. One tip that I hear while I was brainstorming ideas was 'only sell to desperate clients'. Don't go where there is too much competition. Find something you know a bit about, look in networks you already exist, and identify a need that isn't being met.

Good luck! It can be done!
