I apologize if this is slightly off-topic.

Is anybody here familiar with the rules with airing content purchased on iTunes on your own site?

I'd like to air a few music videos and maybe use some tracks I purchased from them on my own site. Trying to create my own internet TV station- I guess you can call that my "muse" in the making...

Well anybody have any ideas on what I may or may not be allowed to do? Or possibly just know where I can find out this information for sure.

Thanks,

Zac

Copyright laws prohibit use of music and videos without the publishers permission. You would need to contact the music publisher and the creator of the videos to obtain permission. You may also need a license from BMI and or ASCAP for a public performance of the material.

Probably not too expensive, but time consuming to get it all done without someone who does legal clearance for a living.

Good luck, I used to do this, but I'm out of that biz now.

You can use this site to search for things available under a creative commons license:

Not sure that's what you were wanting to hear though...
