Hello fellow 4HWW members,

I'd like to bring a product to Australia that is very popular in US but is not sold over here. Anyone know how I get started? Specific areas I need help in are:

1) Is this a licensing agreement? If so what's the best way to contact the company who's product I'd like to bring over here?
2) What GOV agency in AU would I contact for food product distribution?
3) Everyone I know in AU would BUY the product right then and there if I had a case of it to sell -- so -- can I just take it to the grocery stores and sell to them or does it work a different way than that?

Thanks in advance for your time,
Rusty

This seems very specific. I'd say, go to the chamber of commerce as a first stop, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

1) Contact the company for an exclusive licensing agreement.
2) Local Chamber can help
3) AFTER you have a agreement in place with the original vendor approach the biggest distributors for that sort of food product. They will get a cut BUT have instant distribution channels and will do most of the work FOR you.

Just my 2 cents.
