Here is the site http://virtualteachingassistant.com and I offer a free half hour tutoring session.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'll test as much as I can and provide conversion data.

P.S. Does anybody know a good widget I can use to do split testing through wordpress?

Your call to action is not clear at all. there are many issues w/your page. I'm just going to comment on the top few and adhere to the 80/20 rule.

1. what is your value proposition - what is this site all about? (and what makes you unique?) i'm new to your site. how would i know what the "VTA method" is?

solution - explain your value proposition. and hopefully a unique one.

2. if a visitor doesn't have a clear read on #1, they are not going to take action. period. the "free trial"button in orange does not look "actionable" btw. that's a fancy way of saying that people aren't likely to click it.

solution - create a different button that looks more like typical buttons.

also consider whether people are going to immediately take action on this or whether the call to action should be to "learn more", etc.

3. you need to establish credibility and trust with your audience. who are you? where is your photo? what is background and credentials? the youtube video on the homepage has some of the content you need for this but it needs to be completely redone and featuring you (not you doing a voiceover).

solution - redo video. create a bio/about us page. put a face to the company and establish your credibility.

Your "products" page actually makes a better homepage than your homepage. I landed at your homepage with no idea of who you were, what you were selling or why I would want it. None were mentioned on the page. Just that there was a "Free Trial" (of what?)

I did like the wording on your product pages "PS" and I'm glad to see you're following up on testimonials. :)

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to redo the video and try that. I'm also going to throw in a Bio page with tutors and students.

Right now my bounce is around 40% on adwords traffic but I'm not getting many free trials, 3% approximately.

Does anybody know of a split/multivariate tester for wordpress? I'm doing split tests right now but my options are really restricted (can't change much more than text on pages and I'd like to play with colours, button sizes etc)

Hi, I just redid my video, and I added a 'our tutors' page. Any other suggestions. Particularly with regards to the pages as I'm trying to come up with as many split test ideas as possible.

Everything is very well put together. The video, the site itself...all very well done.

However as a recent graduate, I'm not sure your doing a good enough job in convincing a student that he needs your service. I would talk about some more specific things that these tutors will be able to do. Use testimonials.

Also I would harp on how your service brings the Teachers perspective to the side of students. That I think is what your service does that they may not be able to find elsewhere.

I'll integrate what you've said into my ad copy. If your interested and you have the insight, write up a blurb for my front page and I'll split test it and give you the results.

To the other guy, I have website optimizer and have used it for months. However, wordpress is damn near impossible to set up for multivariate testing. I was just wondering if anybody had a widget they used.

THAT, would be a great muse idea by the way. I'd pay 20 bucks now to solve that problem
