Hi guys,

Tim advises people in his book to use adwords to test multiple domain names, however whenever I try to place a fake url in the url section of the ad, Google throws a fit. Am I missing something? Are you supposed to just register multiple domains? I want to do some market research by just creating some fake ads to see if some keywords/ideas are commercially viable.

Thanks!
-Steve

Steve I may have the right software online that you may use. Just go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type any keyword you think of and it will give you the number of searchers who use the same keyword in Google.

For parents who like kids' toys (http://www.google.com) for their kids, you rock !

You are looking for conversions, not what web domain attracts people. Domains are only a few dollars anyway.

Get your site up and running, then forward the domains you want to test there if you really feel the need to test that aspect, but there isn't going to be much profit potential you can glean from the results.
