Ok to use free themes for a Wordpress eccomerce site?

I am not very tech savy.

I have set up a wordpress site running locally on my computer to try and test some ideas and see what it is all about.

Is there any reason using a free theme is bad when it comes to actually going live with a site?

I like the looks of it and have a ecommerce widget running that seems to work well.

There is NO reason that a free theme can't do very well for you. You may have to leave links in the footer to comply with the user agreement, that's about all.

I have bought 2 premium themes that rock. If you are serious, i recommend buying a great theme or having one designed.

I like FlexSqueeze and Thesis.
