I have come up with a pretty good niche muse that I am confident will stand up to testing. It is an informational product for the service industry. My idea calls for a 3 cd rom set with an accompanying dvd along with a 100+ page spiral bound training manual. My sales point will be around the $150 range. My only problem is, I KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT CREATING CD-ROMs. I am doing research, and getting the numbers together. Is there a way i can outsource the creation of an information cd rom series? I dont know, I would love to get some thoughts because i have a really good feeling that this product will take off and help me get close to my TMI. Any tips you guys can pass on would be greatly appreciated.

Hi jbyrne629:

If I understand you correctly you need a logistical solution
to be able to deliver a product that consists of:

3 cd rom set
1 dvd
100 + paged spiral bound training manual

In regards to how you create the CD/DVD will depend
on what type of content you will be putting on it. For instance
if you are doing a interactive training cd the methods of creating
just that will be different compared to doing a regular video cd/dvd.

If you are just putting a resource DVD together all you need
to do is put the files on the cd unless you want a nice graphical
interface.

I know of a few service providers that handles cd/dvd distribution
and creation of the actuall CD once you know what to put on them.

Tim also links to a couple of providers in his book as well.

I don't want to include links in this post as I want to comply with the
no "selling" forum rule, feel free to PM me if you have such request
as long as it's clear your asking for it and i'm not trying to sell you
something.

(Yea I'm new here and just trying to do things the right way)

My friend sells a set of like 10 CD's and DVD's in an informational product. He uploads the information to a provider (it takes a long time). The provider burns the disks and places them in a holder just like you would buy at a retailer. They have no minimum order.

If anyone orders from his site, he just signs in to the provider site and types in the address he wants to ship to.
He uses kunkaki but you could search for competitors to find the one that works for you.

I hope this helps!

Definitely https://kunaki.com/ for the CD's I have used them in the past that they are great. As far as spiral binding goes. you can do a regular bound book for around $3 these days. Much cheaper and better looking than the spiral bound ones even at low volumes as an alternative. Although you may want to put something else in there so the spiral binds can make sense.

I have gone with online delivery for all of my products. I can drip information to them, it is protected, and I can do vids, audio, graphix and text and update it anytime I like and it is as inexpensive as it gets and the customers get a great experience.

You might want to consider it as an alternative.
Cheers,
Andrew

Sorry if you've already posted it but I'd be interested in details of your muse/business Andrew?

jbyrne629 whats your product? I own a service business and I have not seen any training materials geared to automate a service business.
