Hi Guys, just finished reading the book and found the forum, thought I would say hello and tell you about myself as I'm gonna be using this a lot so you will see me around.

so I guess this is where to start... in the 'definition' section then just work your way through the other three.

I have been trying to do this for awhile, I went to the philippines a few years ago and it was sooo beautiful and everyone was so nice and it was all so cheap and since then I have been trying to work out how I am going to live there work a couple of hours a day and go windsurfing the rest of the time.

I have been (loosely) studying web design since the philippines while working and traveling the world. I'm currently back in the U.K doing a couple o courses in web design and getting a few more clients together before I go to India hopefully in about three months, I already have enough clients to survive over there but want to do more than survive and its good to do some studying and see my old friends (and working a dead end job just so to satisfy the curiosity for a few months so I never do it again). there is no better motivation than coming back home after working all over the world especially when your home is London, one of the most overpriced city in the world and definitely the most negative and stressed place I have been (and I have been to a lot of places).

The main things I took away from the book is the stuff about outsourcing and I am already talking to one of the companies in the book about how they can help. the bit about a guarantee too I thought was a good idea. mostly the inspiration was the most useful and I hope to cary on getting that from this forum. I am interested in other business opportunities other than doing my web design, I wan't to start selling some stuff like tim suggested but I gotta get some money behind me first (just spent all my money driving a 4x4 across mongolia, siberia and central asia... there are worse things to be doing)

If anyone else lives in the uk and wants to meet up to if just for the motivation then pm me. otherwise I'll see you guys around the forum.

Rob

Hi Rob!

I am new here as well! Lots of information to go over and a lot of really knowledgeable people. I am in the same stage as you, trying to get it all together right now.

Look forward to hearing more about your plans!
