Happy Christmas!
I introduce myself briefly: My name is Jonathan, I'm french living in Paris, during the last 2 years I've been working as an eBay independent seller, buying chinese products from importers: a lot of work, after all not very lucrative because of the crazy concurence.
Like everyone here I've read the 4HWW, and it's been a shock in the sense that it helped me to get the "big picture" of the kind of business I want to run and in general the kind of life I've been searching for long.
Since 2 weeks that I've read the book, I have one idea in mind day and night: lunching a muse and taking off for real.
I'm glad I've found this forum to share experiences with similar people and hopefully get a little help.
Yesterday, I thought about something that could make it: a few month ago, as I was selling a specific sport cloth on eBay, I found a similar cloth and a cosmetic together on sale at a discount price on another website. As the price of this "combination" was almost the same I was paying for the only cloth from the importer I bought their all stock (something like 50 pieces) and I resold the combination on eBay very fast, easily and at a greater price that I would have sold them separatly.
Now that was a one time opportunity as I never found this combination again. Furthermore, the 2 products were of poor quality (the cosmetic was really BS, and the cloth standard) and there was no packaging, no "concept".
So here's my muse idea: start it all over by myself, creating a product which is the combination of these two things, the cloth and the the cosmetic with a better quality, a good packaging, a specific name, a cool website (testimonials, guarantees, etc..)
As you can see I didn't follow the exact order of the book (niche, testing, etc..) as I already know for a fact that this combination is working and there's no concurence.
First question: What do you think about this idea?
And here's where I'm stuck: the cosmetic
I would like something in the same vein that bodyquick did with Creatine :o. In other words an exclusive lab-tested formula or component that suit the needs of my product and make it unique so I won't vulnerable to concurence and it would be a great argument for sale.
The problem: I don't know anything about pharmacology! I have found some "private labels" here in France and in Asia but these are standard products (BS), I want to create something so I'll be able to say "this has been specially designed and tested for this purpose, this is unique on the market, etc..."
Any help on that point would be appreciated. Who to contact? What is the cheapest way to get that? I take any information or starting point.
If I can help any of you guys with anything related to france, I'll be glad to.
