I saw a segment on this on Sunday Morning, these guys are buying "ugly Christmas sweaters" at thrift shops (I would guess for $5-$10) and selling them en masse on this site (for $25) out of their living room:

Actually this is a business I discovered recently here in France : made by GrandMa jumpers ! You go on the website of the company, you choose which GrandMa will do your jumper (you can even choose with a picture), you order the jumper and a few weeks later you will receive it.

The grandmas are "affiliated" of the website as they receive a % of the cut to make them an extra income and the company sells the product with a higher margin because it is fully customised and done by hand.
