I see where a few single people been able to take mini retirements. Since the book has now been in print for 2 years give or take, has any married people been able to achieve passive income with with they can pay there mortgage, feed the family etc.
I would like to hear some success stories including info such as how long it took to become liberated? Do you still own a home? Where have you traveled too?
Thanks for any feed back.
Some info on me. I bought 4hww at the airport last week while on a business trip. I'm tired of working 50+ hours a week which is why the book appealed to me. There is some really good info in the book, but would like to read some real success stories to reinforce that it can be done.
If you answer the question on what success is to you, you will get more important info than you could get out of any of us.

Hi tired - we get this request from time to time. Most of the people who have found success with the book are no longer hanging out on the message board. I know Tim is going to be including success stories in the new (updated) version of 4HWW, and you might find a few here by searching around.

Yep - This forum is one of the things that usually falls away with the low info diet. Some of the more vocal 'graduates' from the forum are JSL (http://www.jetsetlife.tv/)and David Walsh (http://twitter.com/dvdwlsh) (although he sometimes shows up here to give advice). I have no idea how much they are making monthly off their respective muses, but I can say they are some of the most noteworthy.

Wow that JSL link is amazing.
Tiredofwork,
Although I am not married I do have a mortgage and expenses and can vouge that it is possible.. I work about 4-10hrs per week at home doing what I did in my old job 60hrs a week in an office and still returning an income that is well above the average. In terms of a residual income my muse's generate profits and I recently took a trip up to Surfers Paradise (I'm from sydney..) had a kickass holiday and came back home with reports from my VA that basically covered my 5star accomadation and flights :)
Currently looking into overseas holidays now as I am becoming more confident the income will continue to rise. I remember reading other posts in these forums and not seeing a lot of value and people not wanting to share their idea's for fear someone will copy them. I can understand where they were coming from now.. because the way I am doing my muse I am positive no-one else is using the same tactics, and once you have an untapped niche you own and dominate the market.
The trick is not to procrastinate and just start. Who cares if you lose $50 on a VA, keep the bigger picture in mind. You won't know if something will be successful until you have tried a few different idea's out.
Anyways I got to get back to booking my mini-retirement in thailand, best of luck!

It looks like the muses of JSL and David Walsh are sites that promise to help others establish their own muses. Clever: they see a wave of demand on these forums, and they grab their boards.

i had exactly the same impression, coming back to this forum after a while off...it's like a single boys club!! But as Sven often reminds people, you need to figure out what makes YOU happy. I for one was always more interested in the Elimination and a twist on the Liberation concept - I kept the 50-hour a week job because I love it and i often work from home, but my husband took a package and quit his...because he stopped loving it. Yes, we have a mortgage, teenage kids, but we also take lots of vacations and had a nice long five-week break this summer (vacation + leave without pay for me...it was worth it!) and he's taking lots of little trips to catch up with old friends, family...thanks to the miles from all that business travel and the luxury to just take some time off and enjoy life right now. You'll figure out what's right, just take the time to sit back and think about it, get out of autopilot mode. Good luck.
