I have a muse idea, and I think it would be best suited for an ebook. However, I've never written an ebook and to be honest, I don't really want to gather, organize, and write the information out.

Has anyone here hired someone through elance to write an ebook? Can you share your experiences? How was the process...how much did it cost....will they gather the information and do all of the work if you tell them the sort of order you want it in or the affect you're going for?

Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated....

By the way, I'll reveal my muse if you think it's safe without another member taking it (keep in mind, I haven't even started yet.) I think it's a really good one!

You can reveal a muse that currently has no value to it, yes. Also, you can get an outsourcer to gather and organize the info for you, but I would recommend writing the book.

Muses take WORK up-front. You can't build a muse on 4 hours a week.

I'm aware, and I feel like I've become an expert on my muse. I'm just probing for similar experiences to those that were doing an ebook that may have outsourced the research/organization/ writing. Basically, acting like a director to for a workhorse to compensate for lack of writing skills.

I never said it wouldn't take work, nor did I act like muse development would be a breeze. If I thought that, I wouldn't be here. I'm searching for those that have taken a similar route so that I might do it as right as possible the first time around.
