The Test is Under Way

Well, the site's up and the test has begun. I started last night and realized today that I wasn't getting any impressions. I think my keywords were too specific so I added a couple of broad ones a few hours ago and I've already gotten 6000 more impression and 10 clicks.

My CTR is fluctuation between .15 and .17. Is this any good?

I'm paying a lot more for position now and one keyword seems to be getting all the impressions. My average CPC is .41. Is this to high?

No conversions yet. I think I may have made a mistake with my site design. I put the price on the first page so know I don't know if the price is the issue or the Sales Letter. I should probably fix this.

I'll keep posting results. Any comments are welcome.

generally i think people aim for ctr of between 1% and 2% but it really depends on the keywords and how they are targeted.

its way too early to tell if the campign is working or not. ecommerce sites have an average conversion rate of 1% so you need at least 100 visitors in theory to make a sale. this is not accurate though and you will need to have a few hundred vistiors before you can start accruately measuring conversion ratios. keep it going and when you have more data analyse.

then start changing things and see what effect it has. but for now i would just let the data build
