Hello,
I couldn’t remember how I was introduced to the 4HWW book but I am sure I stumbled upon it on the internet. I have read many motivational books before from Brian Tracy to Anthony Robbins to Rich Dad Poor Dad but I must say 4HWW is appeals to me the most because it is almost like a step by step guide on getting the lifestyle you want. Most books don’t really do that, they pretty much leave you to figure it out on your own through positive mental attitude, change of behaviors etc etc etc. The lifestyle Tim Ferris is the kind of lifestyle I wanted to have. And its not just about making money but the ability to do what you want when you want. I am not just motivated about making money but what options that money brings to me.
In the beginning, when I decided to embark on this journey to improve my lifestyle, I thought money was everything. It can give you freedom, luxury vacations etc. I was wrong. How do you go on a vacation when you don’t even have time for it? I used to work in sales that brings me about $8k a month which was the highest earning I have ever gotten. But the time I spent working did not justify how unhappy I am at that point. I thought money can bring me the freedom I want but I end up being a slave to money. I have switched to another job that pays half my previous salary, have the weekends off and now a happier woman.
Now, I am ready to take the next step. I have no intentions of leaving my work but I do want to take mini retirements on a yearly basis. I have decided that for every 2 months that I worked, I will take a month off. I believe I can do this even if I don’t set up a muse for myself however I would still like to set up one to supplement my income. It would be nice not to worry about money. Although I am motivated by money in some sense I don’t intend to be a multi-millionaire (although that will be nice). I need just enough to be able not to worry about bills and the sort when I go on the 4HWW lifestyle.
As a start, I have already signed up in the 30 Day challenge and are on day 6. I actually found out about it when I read through the forum. Reason I signed up is because I am totally an internet idiot. Years ago in my effort to increase my wealth, I paid and affiliate data entry program $70 because I thought it would make me more money but it didn’t. Either it is a scam or I just don’t really know how to use it. I guess that is how they make money $70 is not little but not too much to create a ruckus. I didn’t bother with refunds either because I take it as an investment for a lesson learnt.
I find the 30DC extremely useful as it takes you on a guide to making your first dollar on the net. 30 days to make a dollar is not a very good ratio but I am excited because the knowledge I learned is worth so much than that. It has even given me the confidence to apply some of it to my own work in the company.
So, here are the steps I’ve taken so far.
1. Email colleagues on the reply at 11am & 4pm to free up time. (baby steps for my 2 months work 1 month off plan, now I am in the process of typing out a new job description to facilitate my ability for mobility next year.)
2. Set up muse for income automation. (I got 30dc to help me with this and have set up www.wakeboardtowerspeaker.rugga.com)
That’s all for now. Wow, didn’t realize I wrote a lot for my first forum. I do appreciate for any feedbacks and advise on the possible pitfalls I might face.
Thank you:)
