About 2 weeks ago I posted a website design project on GetAFreelancer.com and received many bids. Most of the bidders had no feedbacks but after a few days I received a bid from a company in India with over 600 positive feedbacks and an almost perfect feedback score so I chose them. Their bid for the project was $250, about the same as the other foreign providers.

I received an email from them the first day: it was a link to a website where I could monitor the progress on the project. I posted on it but never got any reply and never saw any progress. I sent emails but never got any answer. 1 day after the deadline, I received this message: "I issued a full refund for this project since i am not in a position to start. ":mad::mad:

Since the site already charged me their fee for choosing a provider, I asked the costumer service how to change provider without having to post another project and pay the fee again. A few hours later, they gave me a link that allowed me to do that and now I will have to wait 2-3 days in order to select another provider. A project that was supposed to get done within 8 days will now take over 1 month to finish...

Well it's the problem with the Indias IT corp.

They wanna make money and they are riding the momentum,I personally write in the BID

"BEFORE YOU BID,BE SURE TO HAVE THE TIME TO FINISH THE PROJECT OR YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE PROJECT"

Usually it keep really far away "easy money" followers...

I have a personal developer founded with elance,he's a graphic and he do the job regularly,no time wasting, perfect comunications, always on time.

He call me Mr.. :o

It's most of times a question of luck, even if a great company with a lot of feedbacks may be more distrutive than creative...
