Hi Folks:
In another thread, FrozenCanuck brought up the idea of providing audio/video on the sales page for my muse.

As it turns out I have some MP3 recordings from some of my former fundraising clients that would be excellent to use (i.e. them gushing about how great my program is...:) ).

The problem, at this point, is that I have no idea how to edit them or get them onto my web site. Is there a program that is recommended for editing, easy to use, etc?

I also have a Logitech webcam now, so could add some video as well.

Can anyone provide a link to a good tutorial or good web site that explains how to do this sort of thing? (i.e. working with audio/video files.)

Thank you,
HalfSwede

Try Audacity:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

It is freeware and you can edit MP3s with it.

I've heard of what editordude posted. And the feedback has been good.

I would definitely post audio of clients gushing uncontrollably. You know, I should put together a tutorial package on how a non profit can establish a website and add a donate button. It's always difficult for those organizations to get a website up and running and to maintain it.

EditorDude and WebGal:
Thanks! Actually, I hadn't logged into 4HWW for a few hours and ended up finding Audacity.

Then I was able to edit the mp3 and eventually uploaded an 'ra' file to my web site. I used RealProducer to convert the mp3 to the 'ra' file.

I don't know if I did things the easiest or most efficient way, but for now, it works!

Could I have just used the mp3 file?

Cheers,
HalfSwede

HalfSwede,

I would also have recommended Audacity to you. It's great for simple things. As for adding MP3 to your webpage, this is very easy if your web page is actually run by Wordpress software (blogging software) because there are audio plugins that are really easy to use. This is what I'm doing. Totally simple.
