View Full Version : Who has been able to find a profitable muse? How long did it take you?
Hi guys,
I'm currently working on my first muse. It's going to be an ebook. I will be testing it in two weeks.
I have been reading this forum for a little while and haven't found any success stories but I have however found a few frustrated people.
I wanted to see if there are people here that after following the 4WW book have been able to come up with a at some level automated muse that generates at least $4000.00 USD / month and how long did it take them to get to that point.

probably a year I guess all up. there were a few false starts & dead-ends
the key is to keep plugging away & create your own luck :)
the good news is... once you know how to do it once.........

You gotta give it a try and work at it. Nothing is going to come without putting effort and trial and error in it no matter how much someone like Timothy Ferris make it seem easy.
Good thing about internet businesses is that you can set it up and test it and the investment isnt that big. You might be out couple of hundred bucks but it is nothing compared to taking out a loan for tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to set up a traditional business.

It took me about 3 years.
I've tested a lot of stuff. I have over 50 domains and websites. I just kept throwing stuff against the wall and seeing what sticked. Eventually I had some hits.
Remember, things take time. It can takes years for you to be organically found in google, so be patient. Your organic clicks will give you a lot more success than any PPC you'll do. IMHO
Good news, I've become an e-commerce expert / web-developer in the processes. Learned HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, multiple software apps and much more. Now, when I have a slow month I'll cherry pick a web development project for extra income.
My goal was to replicate my 6-figure income as a Certified Financial Planner. (I'm actually still a fully licensed CFP. I guess it's good to have something to fall back on.) Now I have time be with my kids and watch them grow... I don't envy the 9-5'rs that spend 2 hours in a car everyday.
Thanks guys. My goal is to have it all working in about a year and it's great seeing people that have already made it here.
I'm a senior level web software engineer and hope to be able to give good use of the skills, however I still need a lot of work in the marketing side.

We all have an area we're weaker in that others.
