    After losing now 54 following the Slow Carb Diet, I am going to start into the kettlebell swings. Do you recommend 2 times a week or 3 for just doing the 75 reps with 50 pounds?

    So awesome that you are giving the CreativeLIVE session away. While it was airing live, I was absolutely glued to my computer screen, breaking only to refill my coffeemug 5m away from my workspace.

    I knew Neil Strauss from the world of pickup artists, and I think it is sad that so many men know him only as Style. His writing is phenomenal, and to hear him discuss his process with another of my favourite writers was inspiring to say the least.

        Jakub,

        Neil is most famous for “the Game”, but he had been writing for “Rolling Stone” priory to that. He has served as a ghostwriter for several celebrities’ memoirs, and my personal favourite of his, “Emergency”, seems to have had a great influence on certain parts of Tim’s “Four Hour Chef”…though perhaps he would be the one to confirm or deny this.

        At any rate, Neil Strauss is a great writer. If you like Tim Ferriss’ material, I reckon you would like Neil’s!

Restructuring the way people learn is a daunting task, but the technology we’ve seen in the past few years is forcing the issue and it’s exciting to see some big players take it on.

    Aside from the book–which is jam-packed full of good stuff–I watched the “Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise” course that Tim gave on CreativeLive and can definitely vouch for its value.

    There are enough F-bombs dropped in it to get the course banned in the Bible Belt, but there are also as many good tips. And anyway, if you’re scared of a few cuss words, what the f*&k are you doing reading in the comments section of a post on the internet?

    Again, though, great stuff. From Noah Kagan’s advice to get to $1 as soon as you can (when starting a business) to Neil Strauss’s tips on getting work done, I picked up probably a dozen tips from the course that have made this year much better and more productive.

    How do we then find your book on this page without leaving and using the “search” function (and missing out on the 65% discount)?

    Been thinking about getting this course since I wasn’t able to get out of work to watch it live.

    You’re probably gonna get bombarded with questions like this since it wasn’t clear from the post and I’m guessing a majority or your blog audience already have at least 1 copy of the book…

    I already got 1 hard copy from Amazon the day it released (plus the Kindle version) so my question is if I pick up 2 more hard copies from Amazon, will I qualify for the deal since the 3 books will show on 2 receipts, not just 1?

    Tim, I’ve seen a lot of 4hour body and workweek testimonials but a lot of 4HC testimonials haven’t rolled into the blog yet. I want to chime in and say thank you so much. As someone who grew up on fast food, your book has changed my life. The four chef is an expensive experiment for me so far(all the kitchen tools and ingredients), but I think in my lifetime it will pay off vs money spent eating out.

    I grew up a notoriously picky eater. I never put condiments on anything, I hated all seafood, didn’t trust vegetables, never ate asian food, and never had a less than well-done steak(seriously). Thanks to the 4hour chef, I’ve borrowed and ghetto-rigged my own kitchen tools and have been experiencing flavors I’ve missed out on all my life. My first less than well-done steak was the sexy-time steak(amazing, though I cheaped out on buying the pine pollen). My first asian dish was the bittman Chinese chicken(I’ve since then had the courage to buy chinese and korean food take-out). My first seafood meal was the harissa crabcakes. I’ve done over a dozen scrambled egg combinations, and have started applying the flavorings to plain chicken and beef. I’ve made some of the dishes for my girlfriend and our families and they love them. Screw what the haters say, your work is phenomenal. I also lost 40 pounds on low/slow carb but who hasn’t :P ?

    It looks like the 65% off deal can only be claimed once, so if you want to purchase more than one copy of the hardcover additional ones will be done at the 40% off rate.

      Yeah, I found the same issue. Here’s the explanation from Amazon’s FAQ:

      You won’t be able to add additional quantities of the same deal to your Cart. Only one promotional discount is available per Lightning Deal customer. Deleting the claimed item from your Shopping Cart will remove the promotional discount from your account; but if the discount is still available, you can add the item to you Cart again from the Lightning Deal.

    and certainly offered more than 20 french version of 4HWW… ;-)

    After looking at your Bit Torrent file, I was absolutely hooked and was planning on buying the book this week. Then I saw this amazing deal and really wanted to take advantage of the 65% off but FYI it seems to only work in the US. Technically the deal applies to Canadian orders but then Amazon applies a large shipping fee (see below) because it ships from the US instead of Amazon.ca. I’ll probably purchase the book anyways but just wanted to let you know.

    Hi Tim, great deal and was going to buy 2 of the 4hr chef books (1 for me and 1 for a gift) but can only get the deal on one.     I actually ordered the *german version* of “The 4-hour body” (“Der 4-Studen Körper”) on amazon this week (should be delivered tomorrow) and just now “The 4-hour Chef” from your link above (will be shipped to Germany within 18days, say amazon). Does the german translation count too?
    In that case, I would just buy one more copy of the 4-hour-Chef now, which will be for a friend :)

    To get around the problem of only buying one 4-hour chef for 12.99, just create 3 separate amazon accounts, clearing your cookies after each new account. In order to get above the necessary 25 dollar spending limit for free shipping, add some household items (toilet paper, toilet cleaner, paper towel, etc.) to your order. Voila! Takes about ten minutes, and will save you at least 15 dollars,

    Does the purchase have to be from amazon.com?

    The reason I ask is if i buy 3 copies from amazon.co.uk, i’m actually getting the books from a 3rd party seller (not amazon company itself). I’m using amazon.co.uk as the delivery time would be shorter than from amazon.com.

    For me personally waiting potentially 2+ weeks extra negates the discount buying from the US (plus potential UK customs border issues and having to pay duty anyway).

    Also the wufoo page isn’t working – 404 error

    Just completed the order and filled out the form. Looking forward to the course after hearing you talk about it on the latest Random.

    I would echo some comments I’ve seen elsewhere that I hope you will publish something (blog post, new book, whatever) about your thoughts about preparation and survival stuff.

    You piqued my interest on the 2nd Rogan podcast but you never expanded on it (you mentioned spending time with hedge fund people getting prepared but then Joe came back from the washroom and led you down another rabbit trail and you never came back to it.) Then you mentioned that this topic was cut from the 4 Hour Chef and now it seems you are developing related skills and setting up in Utah with the tiny houses and all…

    Please expand on this when time allows – I suspect many of your loyal readers would be interested in your thoughts on the subject.

    Tim…caught a phone call right at purchase time. Went to the second link after the call and the link is expired or something? Got some sort of 404 page not found error. Was their a timer on the second link? LOL…just my luck! I never could find the link from just before Christmas to send me receipt in to be able to meet you at an event and now missed this deal!     Tim,

    Quick question…I am a week in recovery from rotator cuff and detached bicep surgery. I have to be immobile for 4 weeks. I am looking back through 4HB is there anything you did with your surgery (supplement/diet wise or other muscle group exercises) to speed/improve recovery and rehab time? During the “immobile” time and after? Before surgery I had 6 sessions of Active release therapy which i feel helped a ton with ROM before and surgeon said he had an easier time scoping…whatever that means…still looks like I’ve been shot with 12 G 00Buckshot :)

      Dan, I am not Tim…but I would like to make some suggestions that I think that he will agree with. 2,400mg of Cissus 3x per day. Arnica (topical and oral) as well as Traumeel (topical and oral). Also, I most highly recommend finding someone local to you that does ART or Active Release Technique that Tim mentions in 4HB. I could barely move my left shoulder. 6 weeks of treatment and it is, literally, AMAZING! If you search for the ART site, they have a local lookup tool where you can find someone in your area. My guy is AMAZING! I hope this is of help to you. I know Tim would have lots and lots of info for you. But he does recommend all of the above. Everything but the Traumeel was in 4HB.

          Dan, I would speak to someone locally. However, I would think that you could start the treatment fairly soon. My admitedly limited knowledge would make me think that such treatment is more preventative as they will be able to help ensure you don’t get much if any build up of scar tissue or adhesions that would impair movement, etc. Best of luck to you my friend.

    Ha! I wrote that first review – I was on a mini-retirement in Mexico working as a scuba diving instructor at the time and skipped two days of diving off the beach to watch it. Stand by my decision. After buying it and re-watching the session with Noah I won the race to £1 in my new business after months of procrastabation.

    Well worth checking out if you’re looking for short but intensive lessons…

    Tim, I caught your Google+ interview for make. You mentioned “going video” with teaching and whatnot. I have something for you that you should look at. PLEASE NOTE! The links below are NOT affiliate links of any kind and I have nothing to do with either of the software packages. Just sharing an idea and the tools that I think would be perfect for you. What you can do is set up a WordPress blog. Add to it the Wishlist membership plugin and the FlyPlugins Courseware plugin and what it would allow you to do is create a site that allows free and/or paid memberships to the site that gives you complete ability to create hosted and structured video courses for members. Could be your courses. Could also be guest courses. A very, very powerful combo and would allow many of your fans to check in and subscribe to anything you or anyone else is teaching in a structured manner via video. I hope this is of interest to you.     Ahh Tim! So sad right now. I should have read more carefully, but the email notification of your blog update didn’t come in until 10:16pm last night (1/24- after deal was already over!), so when I read “tomorrow” I assumed today, bought the three books a moment ago, was confused why I was not seeing or getting the flash deal but bought anyway, rechecked email and realized this all was for yesterday! Any chance you’ll still accept the screen shots for the course even though Im a day off? I’d be forever grateful!! (And any thoughts on why I got the blog update notification a whole day late in email?)

    wish I could attach a picture. Also osso buko was just as promised very easy & compliments and compliments all around. I’ve never seen a cookbook that had the breakdown of a shotgun. This is way more than a cookbook or a course. my taste buds are already being awakened and appreciating and enjoying all food much more. can’t wait for lesson 3 and the video courses. I had already bought a copy of 4HC here in the UK (hardback wasn’t an option, but the price of the paperback over here is more than the price of a hardback in the US), so I bought two more hardbacks and had them sent to my dad and his wife.
