Great idea to with the voting. They’re all great, but “No Clock” is the best!
David — August 8th, 2012, 7:44 pm
I agree Tim… “No Clock” is a CLEAR winner. No question.

Definitely a fan of the “secret sauce”
Mario — August 3rd, 2012, 8:26 am
I like the “no clock” at most.
baa — August 3rd, 2012, 8:26 am

Aggressive has my vote

Voted “No Clock – gamadope” – you just feel it’s related to cooking!
Ashwin — August 3rd, 2012, 8:41 am
“No Clock” made me LOL! haha that is just funny. But my vote for the coolest would go to “secret sauce”.
Greg Rollett — August 3rd, 2012, 8:42 am

Ignacio — August 3rd, 2012, 9:03 am

Tim Ferriss — August 3rd, 2012, 11:21 am
Yessir, Ignacio
Stefan — August 3rd, 2012, 9:03 am
Secret sauce is amazing. Need to watch out it doesn’t look to oriental though. I know you are a fan, but it is a cookbook, and is the content most of all oriental?
Joseph Burch — August 3rd, 2012, 9:06 am
It’s a cooking book; not a fitness book. Not sure who the demo is *supposed* to be but it’s probably going to be women. Just sayin…I think the “aggressive” ones are going to be a bit much.
Eric Heath — August 3rd, 2012, 9:06 am
“The Secret Sauce” is the BOMB!
Brett — August 3rd, 2012, 9:14 am
I love the heartbeat in ‘No Clock’!!
Christian Louboutins — August 3rd, 2012, 9:21 am

The play buttons aren’t working for me.

I didn’t think it was easy.
Secret Sauce is good though
Mark — August 3rd, 2012, 9:48 am
Tim, The Secret Sauce is BY FAR the coolest. Great & inspiring voting, by the way. Cheers from Hamburg…
Farid — August 3rd, 2012, 10:16 am
Secret Sauce then either Animal or No Clock
Peter Tanham — August 3rd, 2012, 11:04 am
I wish I could vote for the embedded widget – that’s some awesome tech right there.
Zach — August 3rd, 2012, 12:23 pm

The genius of your testing never ceases to amaze.
And sweet jesus this audiodraft service is incredible.
Johnny — August 3rd, 2012, 12:50 pm
Secret sauce!
Julita — August 3rd, 2012, 1:13 pm
bad-a-ness definitely fits best with the secret sauce
Marcin — August 3rd, 2012, 1:18 pm
1) Animal
2) Aggressive
3) The Secret Sauce
Phil — August 3rd, 2012, 2:26 pm
I can’t believe what i’m seeing here… This sound designs are a part of a contest on Audiodraft. At ANY moment, the sound designers have been warned that their work will used for the promotion of this site. The rules were clear, when the contest was finished on Audiodraft, TF was supposed to announce a winner. But here it’s something else. The sound designers are not paid for doing your promotion here ! What is this F… business ?
Mariana Zanetti — August 3rd, 2012, 2:50 pm
5 Tango Star, followed by secret sauce.
Núria Costa — August 3rd, 2012, 3:05 pm
I’ve just voted Secret Sauce. It rocks.
Catherine P — August 3rd, 2012, 3:43 pm
As a French girl, I say : 100% 5 Tango Star ! It has an italian / Godfather / Sexy feel to it and where I’m from you don’t mess with food !
Ryan — August 3rd, 2012, 4:17 pm
All of them are great, but we definitely have a near consensus on Secret Sauce.
Tom — August 3rd, 2012, 9:30 pm
Secret sauce! Somehow crashing and breaking concrete and the word “Fuck” don’t work with delicate guitar plucking, flutes or orchestral movements.
Emily — August 3rd, 2012, 9:48 pm
I’m a tango fiend….. But for a human jackhammer? No way. It’s all Secret Sauce and Guerilla drumming!
Arrie — August 4th, 2012, 1:20 am
What advice can you give to someone who since they were a little girl and all my friends were playing house I was running my own business. The reason for the advice is I’m disabled and will never be able to go back to the traditional work force. I feel now is the perfect time to start that business. I want the freedom of a lifestyle business but no clue what to get into. Looking for advice and help. Thanks

Voted for Secret Sauce, but also like No 659!
Sander — August 4th, 2012, 4:30 am
Hey Tim,
I loved the secret Sauce. Rough and smooth at the same time.
The Secret Sauce – aand
No Clock – gamadope
Animal – Darrenaudioguy
Steven — August 4th, 2012, 5:14 am
1. Secret Sauce of the available selection.
2. If possible, none of the selection give. See #1 otherwise.
3. Wish we could have done a video selection Not feeling this one.
Kevin Chaval — August 4th, 2012, 5:38 am
No Clock – Strategic & Clever (Sherlock Holmes/Guy Ritchie or Quentin Tarrantino style/feel)
Animal – Terminator 2
The Secret Sauce – Linkin Park feel
I like “Animal” but believe it fits the 4 Hour Body mentality, where a book focused more on intellect and cooking reflects the feeling “No Clock” offers.
I recommend No Clock when I think about what the book would be for myself, plus it sounds nothin’ short of totally bitchin’.
…boop
Todd S. — August 4th, 2012, 5:53 am
No offense to those who submitted, but I actually prefer the original sound clip by a longshot. Of these, ‘secret sauce’ would be my runner up.
Alex — August 4th, 2012, 8:04 am
A couple of them don’t fit at all. It has to be a bad-ass type tune – secret sauce feels a little dated. Animal all the way. Edgier.
rick — August 4th, 2012, 10:21 am
Def Secret Sauce,
i wanna cook and fight crime at the same time!
Seven — August 4th, 2012, 10:30 am
Secret Sauce
Patrice — August 5th, 2012, 1:38 am
this audiodraft service is amazing… secret sauce for me but 5 tango star very close behind
Tom — August 5th, 2012, 4:22 am
5 Star tango is nice ! Subtle and everything, more related to food.
uhoh! — August 5th, 2012, 11:19 am
Hi Tim —
You can and should expect bias towards the first few samples. If you want good results, you should randomize the order things show up in.
Looking forward to the book.

Thank you for sharing this information this post is very useful.
Mark Vo — August 6th, 2012, 1:20 am
Hands down, “No Clock”
The changes in the music are right in line with the video, making it aesthetically pleasing; also gives an impression of power and grace.
Corlia — August 6th, 2012, 1:27 am
No Clock made me laugh.
J. Delancy — August 6th, 2012, 8:15 am
Secret Sauce doesn’t cut it for me because it reminds me of “Splinter” by Sevendust used in the Four Hour Body trailer. That type of music was fine for a a book that dealt with Becoming Superhuman. The 4 Hour Chef seems to be more focused on accelerated learning, which I think calls for a more nuanced approach and therefore more nuanced music.
My favourite, “No Clock”. If the artists have full songs, I wouldn’t mind hearing them on Youtube.
Pat Haggerty — August 6th, 2012, 10:26 am
No Clock has my vote!
Lex — August 6th, 2012, 11:09 am
If you are promoting 4HB again, then secret sauce or any other action type soundtrack would be fine.
But there, I would expect something much more refined otherwise it’s gonna mislead people in a marketing point of view.
Using something like 5 Star Tango for ex. let us understand that “there’s more”, and it’s not about 4HB, and it’s refined.
To me, this video + secret sauce = 4HB again, then I don’t understand the purpose really.
This video + 5 Tango star = something new…
Camila Prada — August 6th, 2012, 1:11 pm
Damn, that secret sauce is hot.
Sterling — August 6th, 2012, 1:14 pm
Animal
Greg — August 6th, 2012, 1:46 pm
The contrast offered by 5-Star Tango and No Clock creates an interesting “tension”… less obvious, more passion!
Aaron — August 7th, 2012, 2:42 am
Animal fits right to the video, every bit of it
Secret sauce is gay, it’s more appropriate for some long video, not quick intro
there’s no balance between entrance and exit
ANIMAL wins
Sidney Anderson — August 7th, 2012, 2:56 am
The secret sauce isn’t synchronized right…. Also without the floor cracking sound I can’t feel Tim’s heavy falling.
Changed my vote to Aggressive HQ!
Michelle — August 7th, 2012, 9:51 am
I voted. You have to tell what the widget is that allowed this contest. Love it.
MikeP — August 7th, 2012, 1:40 pm
Just a heads up that if you’re having synchronization issues, it’s most likely a player glitch. So if it happens, try restarting the given track a few times and it should sync up.
Adam — August 7th, 2012, 1:42 pm
I wish I would have known about this contest earlier as I would have come up something for this.
I cannot wait for Tim’s book! It should be great if it is anything close to his previous 2 works.
Hope @ Fairhope Supply Co. — August 7th, 2012, 6:22 pm
Go with NO CLOCK!! (please and thank you).
Shareef — August 8th, 2012, 5:26 am
Secret Sauce sounds like Dipset. I half expected Juelz Santana to start rhyming. Hot!
Koates — August 8th, 2012, 4:19 pm
5-Star TANGO : there is actually a musical theme, it’s passionate and it’s tango…!
Adam — August 9th, 2012, 7:02 am
No Clock or The Secret Sauce work best IMHO.
Mohamed Anan — August 10th, 2012, 9:11 pm
The Secret Sauce all the way : )
Looking forward for this one.
Best of luck
-Mohamed

Certainly no clock, vow for the

Hi, Tim
The 4HB – great book! I’ve eaten 250g of protein per day for the past 7 days and I’m up to 207 from 199 pounds body weight.
Question – did I read Geek-to-Freak correctly?…am I really to do just ONE set of each excerise to seven reps? That’s it??
I’m doing the free-weight routine for my Workout A & B. I feel like I’m gonna hork after my 5/5 cadence, but I also feel like I should be working out longer (at least more sets). One set to 7 reps for the Yates Row and one set to 7 reps for the Overhead (dumbbell in my case) Press sure don’t take long to complete…
Thanks!
Brian

All this 4 hour stuff seems like it is spreading the original brand thin. I mean “The 4 hour Work Week” was an amazing pioneering book. It changed lives and gave a whole generation the courage to accept nothing less then their dreams. Now its off to 4 hour workouts and now 4 hour chef cooking
Why stray so far from the goose that lays the golden egg? How about the 4 hour work week book 2? or something that builds on the first one. That’s what people want!
