The 4-Hour Chef – The First Kindle Fire Book Teaser (Want a Free Kindle Fire?) 886 Comments

A first look at the beta-cover of The 4-Hour Chef. Let me know what you think.
The magic elves and I have been hard at work on an early Christmas gift for you all. In fact, there are quite a few goodies in this post, including 50 free Kindle Fire devices!
Let’s start with one of the most time-sensitive…
The 4-Hour Chef is Live!
The 4-Hour Chef is now on sale on Amazon!
I’ve been keeping things under wraps, but there is one big surprise. For the last 5 years, the most frequent request from blog readers has been a guide to mental performance. In other words, answering the question: how do you deconstruct and learn any skill?
Well, I’ve been listening all along, and that book is here!
Here’s the complete title: The 4-Hour Chef: The Simple Path to Cooking Like a Pro, Learning Anything, and Living the Good Life. Intended to be “the cookbook for people who don’t buy cookbooks,” The 4-Hour Chef will use food as a vehicle to teach the art and science of meta-learning–the skill of learning skills. Whether you want to learn a new instrument or a new sport (or anything in between), you’ll have a field-tested and research-backed blueprint. In addition to insight from world-class chefs, we’ll have an unreal cast of characters helping you to multiply your learning potential.
For a limited time, to celebrate the announcement, you can pre-order The 4-Hour Chef for 50-80% off. Instead of $30 for print, you can reserve a copy for $15. Instead of $22 for Kindle, you can get it for $5.99.
You can cancel anytime up to ship date, so there is no downside, only locked-in savings.
Sidenote…
Why might you buy the physical book, even in addition to the Kindle? Three reasons:
1) It will be gorgeous, a wonderful tactile experience, and truly unlike any cookbook you’ve ever seen.
2) I’ll be thinking up bonuses for people who buy the print edition early.
3) It would really help me out. Inexplicably, The New York Times excludes all advice/how-to books from their e-book bestseller list, so only the print edition counts towards the bestseller list. Silly, but there you have it!
See the full book description, sneak-peek photos, and more here.
A Christmas Countdown Experiment: The 4-Hour Chef Teaser
Next, I present to you the first Kindle Fire book teaser and app!
100% free and titled “A Christmas Countdown Experiment: The 4-Hour Chef Teaser,” it includes a seven-day Christmas countdown advent calendar, with unusual tips that allow you to enjoy wine, cookies, and all the other holiday vices… while losing fat.
From strategic yo-yo dieting and tequila hot chocolate, to exploding cows and tattoos, it’s full of surprises. Here’s are a few screenshots and the introduction video, followed by the download link…

Main menu – just tap any food for the recipe and much more.

I love advent calendars! Tap any day for your prescription or reward.
Download The 4-Hour Chef Teaser here. Please note! This version is limited to Kindle Fire at the moment, but the iPad (iOS) and general Android versions are almost done. They’ll be coming along shortly, and I’ll keep you posted.
But… why not get yourself a free Kindle Fire? That’s next.
50 Free Kindle Fire Devices
If you don’t yet have a Kindle Fire and would one for free, I’m giving away 50 of them. This is a thank you for providing so much helpful feedback over the last six months.
Here’s how to get one:
1) Just spread the word in the next 48 hours! Send people to this blog post or The 4-Hour Chef page on Amazon. Here are some ideas: Facebook like, Facebook sharing, retweets, Twitter, e-mail, e-mail signature, street miming. The last one doesn’t scale as well as the others.
2) By 11am PST this Thursday (Dec. 1), leave a comment on this post telling me what you did. If possible, quantify the impact (clicks, page views, etc.), and be sure to follow these two rules, which are required for your entry to be valid:
- In the first line, tell me what you’d most like to learn in The 4-Hour Chef.
- Keep the entire comment to 200 words or fewer, so use bullets!
We’ll consider the first 300 submissions, and a few judges and I will choose the 50 we think did the best job (subjective, I know). Then we ship them off! Void where prohibited, Martians under 21 not allowed, etc., etc. Winners will be announced next week.
Happy holidays!
Much more to come…

-Will be spreading the word to ALL customers (see about 200 individuals/week)
If I win the Kindle Fire I will give it to my mom for Christmas under the pretenses that she reads The 4-Hour Chef and 4-Hour Body as she needs to change her life and get healthy.
Thanks a million!

I have a grandson who is 1, he is allergic to Peanut Butter, Soy, and Egg Whites. I would like to know of recipes that are a cookie or desert that I can make that do not have egg whites in them. Also any other recipes you can suggest.
I subscribed to your blog :)

Hi Tim!
I was once a disbeliever with the 4 Hour Work Week when someone bought it for me. I’m now glad to say I’m on the highway to changing my life with your ideas and advice. I posted the links to this blog post and the amazon page for the book on my facebook. I can’t wait to begin reaping the rewards of 4 Hour Work Week and putting all the advice from this blog’s posts into action. Hopefully I can submit one of those videos in the near future!

I am always looking for new skills and a quick way to get them would be great. Thanks

From the 4 Hour Chef I would to learn to dance, or more precisely, I would like to learn to get rhythm. I want to be able to take my husband in my arms and waltz him around the dance floor in either a country bar or a ballroom situation. I have tried to dance and I am all thumbs on the dance floor when it comes to traditional In-The-Clench Dancing. That would by far be the coolest thing in the universe to learn.
I liked and shared the book site from Tim’s Orig post on Facebook and Here, I sent it to all my friends and tweeted it on Facebook. I also ordered both Kindle and Printed and liked those as well on all the ways Amazon allows. Since you are taking the first 300 comments, it is better to post now and quantify later if possible.
Have a better than good day.

I would like to learn how to make a savoury steak without spending much time to spicy it.
I’ve taken a picture of your book cover and shared it on my instagram feed at mbcruz1977, and also created the hashtag #4hourchef.

Hi Tim. Over here on the other side of the pond, Amazon.co.uk has no listing for pre-orders for the book or Kindle version (I want to order both). Do you have any idea when we UK Kindle owners will get to sign up?
Looking forward to seeing your latest attempt to share great info with us all.

As part of team @Skillshare, I want to learn about your take on meta-learning (meta^3 ?), and how to more effectively teach others about my passions, and likewise, empower others to be better teachers. Let us truly democratize learning and teaching, and disrupt education!
Already pre-ordered, and tweeted/shared on Twitter, FB, etc. so looking forward to the book.. and will be adding it to our company library too.
Hope to run into you again (perhaps at SXSW?)
Cheers.

From my restaurant kitchen on a spanish mountain top my family, my guests and I have been 4HBing all summer, the locals thought we were superhuman but now the secret it out and they are all at it!
here in europe among the female community i find facebook the most effective way of getting messages out, and i abhore the guy that mentioned the cover of the book should only have a man on it. what nonsense. take a look at the 4HB participants on facebook, those over 40 Mamas of 3 are out there big and strong with perfect posteriors just waiting for Tim to reconstruct their cooking.
LOVE LOVE LOVE and i dont mind the wait for the hardback one little bit. x

Hey Tim,
I own a CrossFit affiliate in Florida and have to battle daily to get my clients to change their eating habits. This will be a huge help. I sent out the pre-order to my entire gym mailing list…maybe 500 contacts or so.
If the book is as good as I anticipate than I will be buying multiple copies to give out at the gym for member of month and contests and whatnot.
Long time fan since the original 4hww and also a foodie/inspiring amateur cook.
Thanks!

If you’re getting the pricing not available message as an international customer:
Log into your Amazon account, select “Your Account”, then “Manage Your Kindle” and finally “Country Settings” you can change your postal address.
Put in a USA address, hit save and you will be able to pre-order. You can then repeat the steps to reset it to your real postal address.

Looks like the time difference and working on my muse (www.aperitifsandsippycups.com) cut me out of the running for the Kindle…but I suppose living in Italy does pay off in the end!
Anyway, I may not have been street miming, but my Italian friends are now decanting in 20 seconds! So hurry and get it translated, I am already priming a market for you!

I want to learn your detailed methods for deconstructing a traditional learning process and reconstructing your areas of focus in order to drastically reduce time to proficiency. Basically, how to acquire new skills faster.
To promote the upcoming 4-Hour Chef, I…
-Pre-ordered a hard copy of 4HC, Amazon Order #: 105-1288550-9209062
-Posted/Linked to the 4HC on my Personal Facebook (290 people), Business Facebook (420), Personal Twitter (30), Business Twitter (150), LinkedIn (75), and Business Mailing List (2000)
-Wrote letters to The Food Network, The Travel Channel, The Discovery Channel, Mythbusters, and more spreading the news of your upcoming book and recommending they reach out to you. I think there is a big crossover between your audience and these TV networks.
-Wrote letters to several well-circulated podcasts related to lifestyle design
-Started a beer recipe contest for my brewery tour business in honor of your announcement. I cited the announcement of the 4HC as the inspiration for the contest and linked everyone (non-affiliate) to your book on Amazon.
-Am interested in doing a cross-promotion or discount brewery tour tickets in the North Bay to those who purchase your book.
I hope the 4-Hour Chef is a huge success!

Neither Kindle Fire nor the pre-order links are available to UK shoppers, guess we must be Martians the Tim! I know neither you (nor apparently Amazon) can fix the Kindle Fire copyright problems at the moment, but there’s plenty people this side of the pond who would like to pre-order your book and don’t require a special edition printing for us either, we are mostly bilingual in US and UK English/measurements… just sayin’!

Hi Tim,
I’m an avid follower of your blog and I love your books. You’ve helped me lose 14 pounds of post baby fat (which I previously thought was stuck to me forever, being age 36 and 3 years since baby arrived)! I live in Ireland, and searched amazon.co.uk for your new book to pre order, it’s not listed yet. When do you expect it to be released to the UK/Ireland market?
Thanks Tim :-)

Tim Ferriss, I’ll do this primarily because I like you, and not because you might give me a kindle.
So I:
* posted it on facebook for my 1200+ friends (most of whom eat),
* emailed 28 of my goodlooking friends,
* had actually talked about your work at a dinner tonight with famous journalists, writers and film studio execs (hmm did that even before knowing this was going on) and I gave them the links to your books
* and of course, acted it out in a 22-min improv street mime.
And tomorrow. I will tell my mother. And that, surely, will be enough.
What I’d like to learn:
I am honestly looking forward to seeing what new counterintuitive self-experimented truths you have to share with us about our biological relationship with food (and deeply hoping you might make peace with fruit – will there be a section devoted to peace with fruit? please?).
Anyway, good luck with everything, it will surely do very well..

This post couldn’t have come at a better time (and I’m not just referring to the release of the 4-Hour Chef).
A production group I’m involved in is presently hard at work at developing new Kindle marketing strategies and this post adds very nicely to the conversation.
In fact, I’ve posted a link to this post in our last little experiment: http://www.ryanhealy.com/kindle-marketing-experiment-results/
Good luck with the launch.

I’m hoping to learn how to master some new music related skills, drums, guitar, cello, piano, and recording/sound engineering. Cooking is great and will probably be entertaining, but seems to be merely a conduit for learning any skill. I have self-taught to a basic or intermediate level on these musical skills, but I’m interested to see if you can help me progress to an advanced level more quickly and efficiently.
I have spoken with several friends, family, and coworkers regarding your new book. Most of them are light internet users that really enjoyed the 4 hour body on my recommendation but would not have known about you otherwise. In fact, your last book was the only book some of them have read in many years.

PLEASE READ THIS ONE <3
As I age (as well as my husband), we need to adjust the way we cook and eat. Also as my children grow older, I'd love to be able to install in them a healthy way of cooking and eating. This Slow-Carb diet I'm sure will prove life changing and will benefit all of us. I look forward to attemping this philosophy. What I'd like to see – being truthful here – are ways to cheat (tee hee) without really affecting the outcome (our eating/cooking transformation!). We love traditional recipes as well as trying out-of-the ordinary ones. I freely admit I am not the best of cooks – so getting great tasting recipes (and healthy) recipes is a must.
I'm sharing on facebook, as well as telling friends via phone – and mothers I gather with during school events, etc.

This is a phenomenal idea for spreading the word about your next book.
I would like to learn some 4HB Breakfast Ideas for people who hate eating breakfast. And some ideas on how to replace popular food items, that are staples for many dishes, with Slow Carb versions, ie, chips, tortillas, bread, rice.
To spread the word about the book.
I shared it on my facebook wall to my 424 friends
Retweeted on Twitter to my 114 followers
+1′d on Google+ to the 36 people in my circles
and started a thread on reddit on r/4hourbodyslowcarb which has 522 active subscribers.

Here’s how I promoted your new book different from everyone here (with the exception of Facebook, but that’s a given):
I contacted over 100 cadets here at Virginia Tech who are in the ROTC programs, and I also told them to pay it forward. A lot can get done with rank :)
Looking forward to the new read, and applying it!

Hey Tim,
Something I would love to see is cost effective channels or resources for indigenious foods. I love things like mate, grass fed poultry and beef. Most of the outlets I know are very expensive or not as high of quality as something from the origin country.
I posted links to your blog and page within my facebook account that have close to 1000 friends from over 30 different countries. (I used to work on cruise ships) So you info will span the globe.
I set up revolving posts to go in the news feed periodically with different tips and tricks that you have released about the books content. I am trying to expose all the different areas that will be covered to have some different to catch everyones eye.
Buena Suerte!

By far, I would like to learn more 4HB recipes and shortcuts to getting in and out of the kitchen as quickly as possible (I like cooking enough but I’m usually too tired to be bothered with it or I just don’t have the time).
* I tweeted to my followers, and I tried some targeted tweets.
* Posted to FB re 4HC on Amazon, and this AM about winning the Kindle Fire.
* Posted to /r/keto (w a xpost to /r/paleo) (those are both diet plans that tend to be close to Slow Carb)
* I’ve also been spreading word of mouth to friends and family who were interested in 4HB when it first came out.
Here are the bitly links I used (if you want to see the stats on these links type in bit [dot] ly [slash] [link value below]
* Amazon link: sVsi2x+
* Blog post: vLL3hv+
As of now, I have 92 clicks on the Amazon link (of 1528 on the aggregate link) and only 6 of 9776 on the blog post (which I didn’t post to reddit). Not bad for having only ~160 followers on Twitter and ~350 “friends” on FB.

I’d like to learn to cook it right. The 4-hour body food, I mean. It gets boring after a while and organic food (and/or grass-fed beef) is not only hard to come by in Hong Kong, but also expensive as hell.
By the way, I think it would be a cool idea for the next book, if you traveled the world, spending a couple of days in the most expensive cities of the world, trying to come up with budget ways for the 4-hour body diet. If you’re ever in HK again, feel free to drop me a line :-)

Hey Tim,
I shared this page and your facebook update on my facebook profile. I would like to get to know your techniques of hacking into the learning process, since there are still about 50 more things I’d love to learn and master.
As always, you continue to come up with absolutely fantastic stuff. Thanks a lot for that!

I would like to learn how to learn new skills. It is something that I struggle with. I get lots of new knowledge but lack the retention.
I twittered a link to the book and encouraged my followers to buy it.

In 4 Hour Chef, I’d love to expand my cooking abilities beyond the few, basic dishes I know how to make. I like healthy, cheap and quick.
I spread word of the book on my social networks – Facebook, Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/texasdnc) and word of mouth.
But most importantly, I’d love a Kindle Fire because my 8 year old niece already has one and I don’t! Such an uncool uncle.

Hey Tim, I would love to learn how to cook great food and cook quickly so I can cook great things for my family and spend more time with them! I believe it’s all about quality of life!
I have tweeted a link to your Amazon site complete with cheeky hashtags as well as sending a link to all my FB friends. I hope to have made any sort of impact (positive of course) on your sales!!!
Good luck with the new book, can’t wait to win a Kindle so I can read it!

Do you have any tips on traveling into the future so I don’t have to wait 10 months for this book?
November 30th, 2011
8:27 am
I’ve shared through the following social sites:
Twitter
facebook
reddit
diaspora (first on this site based on comments so far)
I found that the approach taken in the 4HB really worked for me and I am looking forward to seeing that approach taken for the 4HC. I am really good at following a recipe but would like to be able to better understand how to be more creative with any ingredients that happen to be on hand, Iron Chef style :)
Even more I am interested in understanding the process of learning new skills better and taking those techniques to learn something completely different such as Japanese language. I’m also curious how these learning techniques can better help my kids (9 and 5) as they are just starting their education.

Hi Tim,
I just wanted to let you know that I finally found the perfect gift for my mother-in- law. Your 4-Hour Chef book! I also loved your 4-Hour Workweek book. I’m a big fan of yours. It feels good to constantly improving my life…
I’d like to learn mostly how to cook faster and healthier. I also like to try new recipes.
Anyway, I’ve shared the link of your Cook book on my Facebook page, liked it on FB and also retweeted it (@atownes21). I’m sure my friends will like it as well.
I’ll also write an article about it on my Healthy Living Blog.

I will be posting a blog post on my website about this book, and will tweet (only 52 followers) and Facebook about it too.
I am a good but not passionate cook, and like cookbooks that focus on the “why” of cooking rather than the “what” to do. I am also fascinated by the process of learning to learn. I’m looking forward to reading the 4 Hour Chef.

I would like to learn how to cook slow-carb dinners, awesome cheat meals, and to make pork belly or marrow or something exotic.
I pre-ordered a couple of books for myself and family and friends.
I emailed some colleagues (abused corporate computing policy)
and shared on linkedin/facebook.
Keep up the good work Tim, next should be the 4 Hour Life Box Set
November 30th, 2011
8:40 am
I shared this with all my coworkers, friends, and family via facebook, email, and face-to-face conversation. Just yesterday, I shared The 4-Hour Body and your blog with my new coworker, and now today we can’t stop talking about our excitement for The 4-Hour Chef! I pre-ordered my print copy…I wish it was coming sooner!
From the book, I hope to:
-gain an understanding of how to cook in an efficient and fun way – not just follow a recipe
-enjoy pouring over a cookbook with a new design
-learn how to cook new types of food (including slow-carb)

I love good food but have never enjoyed cooking. In fact, I can say that I have never cooked in my life; I am 32 and the closest I have come to cooking in my life is boiling an egg a few times…haha. Having derived great benefits from the previous two books in the 4-hour series, I am looking forward to making more positive changes in my life after reading the 4-hour chef too; hopefully my perspective on cooking will change after following the “simple path to cooking like a pro”:).
About quantifying the impact of spreading the word so far, I have
1. tweeted the link to my 50 followers,
2. posted a link on my Facebook page so my 213 friends can see and repost, and
3. forwarded your blog post to all 100+ friends in my Gmail address book.
I can’t believe I have to wait for another 10 months to lay my hands on a copy of the book but I am excited about it anyway.

Learn how to learn better. A concept anyone should master. I’ve shared with al my Facebook and Twitter friends and followers (a couple of thousand) AND I’ve pre-ordered the book hardcover version. I’ve had the hardcover versions of both previous books as well as digital copies. I like to listen to books on my way to work, so I also have enjoyed my copies from Audible.com too!
As always – thanks for sharing and for getting us in shape, eating well and living our lives to the fullest!

I am so excited for this book! I am a complete moron in the kitchen, and find that I only eat a combination of certain foods because of my lack of know how… I am in a rut, and am excited to continue to learn from Tim! I want to be able to make interesting and nutritious meals for my husband and myself, along with teach my daughters that eating healthy does not mean boring.
I have shared on Facebook, my personal page (over 330 friends) as well as my business page (over 100 members), and tweeted about the 4 Hour Chef. I will continue to post and repost, and IF I had a Kindle Fire, I could share instantaneously about all of Tim’s awesome books and blog! I love your information and as a personal trainer, business owner, and Nutrition Science major, I learn so much from you, even more then my professors!! Thank you!!
November 30th, 2011
8:47 am
Tim, I have been dreaming of this book!! Besides the obvious social media plugs (just posted to Twitter and Facebook), I’ve already sent this out to my Paleo Pals – a group of like-minded girlfriends that get together once and awhile to talk about 4-hour body and the Paleo diet. Targeted marketing, my friend :) I guarantee that 99% of us will be preodering this!!
Thanks again for all that you do!

If Tim wrote it I want it. Plus…
1. cool pics.
2. my husband can barely make microwave popcorn. this could get him to cook.

I would like to be able to learn how to quickly prepare dinner for my family (2 kids, 11 and 8, and my wife). Ideally, preparing nutritious meals that the kids will gobble up!
I have forwarded this e-mail (with a recommendation and reminder that it is the holiday season) to all 74 recipients of my photo blog of the kids (I’ve been doing it for 11 years and I’ve had my far-flung friends be able to watch my kids grow up). I suggested that they also forward the link to their contacts. I can’t quantify this but I can tell you that the 74 recipients will READ what I send them–some might not like the salesmanship, but since they’re friends, I’m sure they’ll forgive me.
Thanks for considering my reply.

Hey Tim! Super excited for the book! I’d like to learn how to prepare delicious, healthy meals in bulk that can save for 1-2 days so I can cook them in advance and bring them to work for lunch, etc. Also, I’d like learn to make more simple healthy sauces that can go with different base foods.
Alright, so spread the word, I:
+ Shared it and liked it on my Facebook
+ Tweeted the link
+ Retweeted the page
+ Liked it on my stumbleupon
+ Emailed it to 57% of all my contacts
And I’m already seeing some feedback on the links I’ve shared.

by the way tim I bought your 4 hour work week at a thrift store in Oct 2007 for $3. when i read it i thought it most amazing book on the planet, and you were the smartest man alive..the book still is amazing as it ever was, some how you are still the most creative person on the planet….and you have changed my life, my thinking….more than any other book I’ve ever read..It’s the only book I take with me when i get on the plane…or take a trip…which means the original book has gone with me to over 200 destinations…that book has litteraly made it into many different countries, and does not leave my bed side. Thank You Mr. Tim Ferris….thank you.

I want to share this book with all of my nutrition coaching clients to help them get their healthy cooking on with ease-as well as well as to see what other crazy, wonderful, and interesting tips and tricks you discovered that I never heard of before and would love to try (like in 4HW and 4HB)!
Here’s what I’m doing to spread the word:

-Talking to friends and family (we all loved the other books)
-Liked on amazon

Wow, 500-something comment! I’ve spread the word on http://www.twitter.com/ann_donnelly and http://www.facebook.com/anndonnelly (via a share AND a like!) Thanks Tim, you rock! Coincidentally I wrote a quick post about 4-Hour Work Week on my internet marketing blog. I’ve been referring to the strategies in that book to a lot of clients and in my talks. Most people fall down in their internet marketing because they don’t have time and I say, even if they don’t want to get down to 4 hours of work per week, your strategies are a great way to get more time for important things! http://e-business.ie/blog/the-4-hour-workweek-by-tim-ferriss/

Hi Tim,
My husband and I loved the four hour body, lost a total of 90 pounds in six months, and are craving more four-hour wisdom from you! I pre-ordered a copy of the book, shared the amazon page with my facebook friends, tweeted, +1′d it, and shared your book cover with a link to your blog on Pinterest (which you should add to your social posting choices btw, there is a huge community there.)
Great idea with this campaign contest for a Kindle Fire, please choose me :)

Tim Ferriss, I want the “4 Hour Chef” (please notice I’ve included your name and book title in this sentence to help a brother out!) to teach me how to discipline myself to finally learn the Autoharp so I can be a sassy, tattooed version of June Carter Cash, as I already cook like Betty Crocker on a heavy dose of Rock n’ Roll. Also, please teach me to how to get a publisher for my childrens’ books that are sitting dormant on my Mac and deserve to be on a Kindle and in print! I have “liked” “4 Hour Chef” on facebook and tweeted (twitter.com/lookdamngood) to my http://onmilwaukee.com/myOMC/authors/lindsaygarric readers! (Forgive the shameless self-promotion. I learned it from you, oh Wise One!) xoxo and forever inspired by you, Lindsay

I posted your blog to my facebook page, and spread the word to my running team, my friends associated with MMA, and my bull rider friends (they are all very healthy, but get burned out with the same ol routine). I also told my entire family using the following “which one of you does not have the idea of “get healther” in some way playing around in your mind for your binding new year’s resolution? I also pre-ordered!
I would like to learn how much, when, and what to eat that my body needs so it does not hate me and can produce valuable things like muscle and skin cells instead of pimples and food babies…..
Thank you for your knowledge and I cant wait for 2012!!

I want to live a dream life like yours; however, without a “cookbook” to get me there I never seem to allow myself to take the steps necessary to get there. It seems that many people dream of living a certain kind of life, but most do not how to achieve it or are too afraid to attempt it. However, what if there was someone that already has done it and that person was willing to hold your hand through it? That is what I believe your new book will do.
This is almost like dad giving you the keys to the car on a beautiful night where you can go with your “gal” and watch the submarine races; you are so excited seconds and minutes seem like days and weeks.

- I would to learn tips on stream lining the preparation step in cooking and tips on not letting food go to waste. Do you buy fresh daily? Buy canned and frozen? What works best?
- I posted to Twitter, Facebook and Google plus. All have a URL with analytics. I’ll be reposting in the evening for A/B time testing and will track stats.

2) I liked this page on facebook and posted a comment encouraging others to check it out. I did this for two reasons. Firstly, to grab attention to people that may have read your other books and not heard about this new project. Secondly, the free kindle may attract new people to your blog.

What I’d like to learn? New ways to challenge myself + new avenues for self improvement. I want to see ideas I hadn’t considered before.
Thanks to 4HBI’ve changed my eating, reduced my workout volume by 50%, and have lost 18# – I weigh less and feel better than when I was running Ironman Triathlons and an ultra-marathon! From 4HWW I’m reading Seneca, finished Branson, starting Chouinard.
What I’ve done: Liked on FB, posted on FB, Tweeted and Re-Tweeted. Have pre-ordered 6 copies (would have been 20+ for Christmas presents if it was coming out in time!) and told all my buddies. I’ve given away at least 4 copies of 4HB . . . and counting!
Copy of my FB Post: I just pre-ordered 6 of these! I’m a huge fan of the author. His 4-HOUR-BODY book can change your life. I’ve lost 18#, wearing jeans with a waist size smaller than I wore in college, and feeling like a teen-ager (physically, that is – not that really awkward emotionally confused feeling).

Tim,
As a trained chef, what I would most like to learn in “The 4-Hour Chef” is how prepare quick, healthy appetizers for dinner parties.
We love to host parties for just about any occasion, but the load on the kitchen often keeps me too busy to mingle with my guests as much as I would like. I expect that I can start with some of your menus and “time hacks,” work a little magic of my own, and put together a pretty great spread that keeps me in the party.
I have posted a big 300px image of your book at the very top of my blog, Kim’s Culinary Diary at: http://www.kimsculinarydiary.com. The image is linked to your Amazon page and includes mouse-over pop-up text to improve click-through.
I figure that my readers will be EXTREMELY likely to check out the book, as they are culinary people and are on the lookout for something new. The blog gets a few hundred unique visits per month.
BTW, expect my blog post about the book (which gets emailed to subscribers) in the next day.
Thanks for all your books!
-Kim

HI Tim, What I most would like to learn is actually how to be a Chef, I am opening a restaurant and would LOVE to be a better Chef!
. Sous Vibe, just started on that one.
. Better wine, always an interest!
. Weight loss, for sure.
I posted this on TWITTER to my 768 followers and FB to my 435 friends! Thank you so much for giving away 50 KINDLES!! That is AMAZING!

I will share your book with the addiction recovery community.

I will convert every one of your recipes that require wine into a ‘dry’ version for those who cannot cook with alcohol.
Congratulations on your new book!

As the new primary cook for my family, I need to learn to make healthy (but sometimes more importantly, tasty) meals for my kids – quickly!
Hopefully it’s not too late to get a kindle.

Hey Tim,
I’m a fan of the Four Hour Books and I’ve been looking forward to the Cook Book! I would like to learn:
*How to cook!
*How to be creative in the kitchen
*How often to eat
*How to prepare meals in advance
*How to shop in the grocery store
I know I’m probably outside the 300 entries, but just in case:
I liked the pages
I posted on facebook to more than 700 friends
I tweeted
I tried to send out emails from the Amazon page to all my CrossFit buds, about 30, but it kept rejecting my attempts. I will go back later to make sure they all get it.
As I said, I am so looking forward to getting the book! The sooner the better! September? Really?

Hi Tim,
Excited for the book. I’ve been eating paleo for 6+ months now with fantastic results and very interested to hear how you have now hacked the food world.
I tweeted to my 209 highly influential Twitter followers. I have a Klout score of 42 with a true reach of 349.
I also bought my mom a Kindle Fire on Monday and have preordered her your book as well. She’s dealing with serious weight issues and I’m excited to see how your strategy can help. (Do we really have to wait until Sept?) It would be great to have a Kindle Fire myself now so I can follow along and help her out.

YES!!! Can’t Wait! Bought the book and posted the purchase on FB right from Amazon.
Lost 40 pounds this year slow-carbin’ it!
Love to hear the truth and Tim, you bring it! Just keep telling the truth. You are setting the world free!
What I’d like to hear/see in the book:
Talk about the conscience space between habit and change; once you know what your doing you have the opportunity to change it. Change is a choice and the spice of life: 1. be aware, 2. pause, 3. do ‘it’ different. Create a new experience. Wash, rinse, repeat (and add a little hot sauce)!

Aww…over 300 posts already so this probably doesn’t count for an entry. But I’ll tell you anyway!
I hope to learn how to make my food prettier. Usually when I cook it tastes ok, but it looks like a 3-year-old made it…and then squished it around a bit. And then ate part of it and put the rest back on the plate. My culinary presentation is truly awful!

I posted this on both my facebook pages and tweeted about it.
Anything that can help me focus better to learn anything quicker with better retention can’t be a bad thing right? Help me feel like I’m not constantly in a funk all day, please :)
Plus if I won I won’t have to keep reading kindle books on my little smartphone…
Thanks!!

Tweeted and Facebook to 600+ friends whom many of are fans of your previous two books! Received a few thanks for the heads up on your new book too.
Here is what I would like to see (hopefully you appreciate the feedback as much as I appreciate giving it):
- A clearer picture on the book cover that stands out more (colourful).
- Cognitive food enhancers.
- Small changes to current food recipe favourites and their impact (ie. add more salt for this and this reason).
Thanks friend :)

Hi Tim!
Whew – breathing hard – just ran back from Town Hall.
First off, you are awesome! Love ALL your books!
Second, I am sorry but I hate social media.
Third, I really could use a free Kindle Fire.
Not a problem! I just jogged downtown (Old Town Alexandria, VA) and spent 4 hours (get it? 4-Hour!) asking everybody I met face-to-face if they had heard the latest rave about your the 4-Hour Chef book release. Word of mouth rules! I tell everybody about your books!
Take care,
Bruce

Hey Tim congrats on the new book!!
In the new book I would love to learn how to deconstruct intense learning issues. I’d like to somehow spin it to learn complex topics like pathology, microbiology, physiology and the like while I’m in medical school. It seems like you can’t ‘short cut’ that stuff but who knows your the man at these things.
I Fb’ed it to my 851 friends, told my professors and fellow med students about it…I’m the reason why most of my chiropractic school is starting the slow carb diet :) …so this one wasn’t as hard of a sell since they’ve seen your work in action. It may not be as many in numbers as others but consider the thousands of patients each of them will see in their careers and if this book delivers they will be recommending it AND 4HB..so talk about LEVERAGE over the long haul..which you love for that NYT list! :) I also tweeted it, and wrote a student blog post for the school, i can’t provide the link yet because it doesn’t post until next monday. I’m right in the middle of finals and GI physiology so Idk if I can do more but I told everyone I knew that would listen (higher conversion rate? ;) and I hope I get into the initial 300.
You da man Tim!

Tim,
I am a long-time admirer and have bought and enjoyed both of your books. I plan on buying this one as well. Question: why introduce two topics, cooking and meta-learning? Each merits a book. Will it confuse potential buyers who are not that familiar with your work? What is the marketing strategy behind it?

Lesson Learned, When Tim is going to do a post and offer a contest of some sort. Its best to subscribe via Text message. Because, I just barely got the email for this post and I find that I’m about 200 posts over the 300 consideration limit. Oh well.
This is what i would have done.
Headed over to fiverr.com(hey its the 4hww in the works) and done several things.
Ordered at least 3 or 5 jobs blasting my link.
Ordered the following Jobs
1. A Facebook post of at least 24,000 followers
2. A Tweet to at least 50,000 followers
3. An exrumer blast (forum poster) of 14,000 different forum posts
4. a blast of 20000 comments on blogs with links pointing to my link.
5. Get a social bookmark for my link to 90 Social sites
And then i think it would have my link be a blog post and in order to get to the page or find out what tim’s book would be they would need to share it via this handy tool: http://cloudflood.com/ (so now i have a viral affect for each of my links)
all for just 25$
but of well.
Looking forward to the new book Tim!

I would like to learn all of the technical skills needed to set up a location-independent worklife. I left my 9-5 job this week and will be taking the next 3 months to see if this is viable. I’ve made a good start so far, but would like to be more efficient with my learning. I have pre-ordered your kindle edition and e-mailed 15 of my friends directly (people who I know would be interested and who I have permission to tell about these kinds of things, so it’s not spam.) I would love to be considered for the Kindle Fire drawing. Thanks so much for the work you do!

Ahhh… the answer to the great question… just HOW do you deconstruct something in order to rapidly learn it… since I was first introduced to you in 2007 I wandered the threads and wondered what your basic formula was. And now its here. Thank you.
I’ve posted it via Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and emailed it out to my event list of attendees from my two largest events, the West Coast Brew Fest and the Northern California Blues Festival.
Hope that helps to make this another Tim Ferriss best-seller!

11:27 am
Hey Tim! We’re over 300 comments but they don’t all look like they are contest entries, and half of the entries don’t look quantified, so I’m hoping you’ll consider mine! Here’s what I did:
First, this post is 167 words. Check.
Second, I’m a loyal buyer and evangelist, and several of my friends have bought your books thanks to me! I’m setting up my muses, but a few ships sank recently… I’ve got about $400 to my name right now, so I’d really love that Kindle!
Third, here are the actions I took:
-BOUGHT THE BOOK (as usual)
-Posted to my FB muse/startup page (7,208 followers; /petfriendlyhotels)
-Posted to my Twitter feed (4,922 followers; @petfriendlyrevw)
-Posted to my FB personal brand page (1,408 followers; /bradandotis)
-Posted to my LinkedIn network (593 influencers, mostly MBAs, 6 million+ extended network there)
So I told 14,131 people about your new book, and for the sake of the world, I hope they buy all buy it. Regardless of whether I win a Kindle, thanks for doing what you do.

How to put together simple and easy meals for my family of four. I am a SAHM and am not computer savvy but tried my best. I personally sent an email to all my email contacts, set up a facebook event to all my friends, and made a post on my facebook page. Total people of 449. The personal message was how your books have changed my life forever and to please pre order your book now with a link. I have read both of your books and every day I am inspired. I know I have a better life because of you. I am a sexy wife and an awesome mother. Hey Tim,
Wow – just got your email after another 16 hour day – bring on the 4 hour week. I am however currently serving in AFGHANISTAN.
So – no brainers. Linked on FB, sent to all addresses in email accounts.
The real brainers – they leverage points
1. Passed to my Australians, Americans, British and other coalition partners – go international word of mouth marketing = 100,000+ potential purchers
2. Stressed the 4 hour work week has changed my life and this new instalment will be an absolute gem
3. With the boys over here played the ‘anything that can blow the fairer sexes minds’ with ease and grace is well worth a copy
4. Commented to the fairer sex that anything that can minimise time spent in the engine room whist their other half things they are slaving away to crack out masterpieces is all a bonus.
5. Plugged the Kindle e-book because there is just a few of them floating around over her – they are like I-phones back in Australia or candy with kids
6. Go the new book and I can’t wait to read it after a hard days work with a new Kindle Fire

Hey Tim – Just “liked” the book on Facebook, and sent out a Share notice on the book. I ordered the print version of the book, but I’m also looking forward to seeing what you’ve done to maximize the Kindle Fire user experience.
What I’d like most to learn from the book is how to maximize my learning potential in the shortest amount of time possible. I work full time right now, but would like to get to the point where it’s a choice, instead of a need. I enjoy my work right now, but there are so many things to learn as a marketer today (social media, SEO, SEM, engagement, etc.) that learning is becoming a full time job in and of itself.
Looking forward to the book and good luck with the launch!

I’m most interested in learning how to quickly pick up new physical skills, specifically martial arts. Very much looking forward to this book!!
So far the link has been Tweeted, Facebooked, and because I owe so much to Tim’s advice on both business and health, will soon be a featured article on my new website. Since the site isn’t up yet, the blog post won’t happen before tomorrow morning, but I’m going to get the word out as soon as I can just because if this book is even half as good as the previous 2, it’ll still be a definite must-read. :)

Hi Tim.
My friends and I would like to see this book explain the meta-data learning techniques, specifically, how you synthesize large amounts of new data (like taking in a new language) and how to recall the data so that you can apply it when needed. When you use these techniques, do the things you learn stay with you or is there an information dump and then a recall?
You have only mentioned those topics before, and the specifics would be great. When you land in Japan, how do you recall Japanese and then do it again with Spanish the following year in Argentina?
Cooking is awesome and fun. I’d like to see the book have some recipes in it that I can execute for a dinner party where my foodie friends are like “Holy sh*t, how’d you make that?!”
Of course they’ll figure it out because they’ll all have copies of your book.
I brought this up with a large group of people over drinks last night. Everyone is intrigued.
I will mention it on Twitter and Facebook too. But most of the people I know have ADD and Sept. 2012 is really far away.
Looking forward to seeing the stuff you come up with this time around. Get to work! :)

Wow the cookbook we have been waiting for!!
But wait….only on KindlenFire?
I bought the 4HB on kindle last December because it wasn’t available on iBooks. Since then I’ve bought 2 physical copies as gifts.
I’ve also bought copies of 4HWW to inspire friends and family.
But I’m waiting for the iBook version this time.
I’ve got way too many physical books, not going to buy anymore.
I’ve been doing the SCD since last new years day..now stuck at 40lbs lost for months.

I’m highly interested in The Four Hour Chef to learn the methods behind learning new things (because I’ve struggled mightily with this in a number of areas). Russian and organization are my top two.
I’m all about spreading the word – I did a personal blog post, put it on Facebook and tweeted it. I pre-ordered the hardcover and the Kindle book – and if it’s remotely like your first two books those will both become plural.
Thanks for not resting on your (awesome) laurels and continuing to move the bar higher!

SUPER-stoked to be checking your new book, Mr Ferriss. Your first two were nothing short of revelations and I’ve applied many principles from both to my life and I’m twice the man for it. Currently publishing my muse, an eBook on how to start an acting career in Hollywood, written from an actor who’s done it, that I’m sure is going to take off while following your guidelines.
That being said, I’ve not only FB blasted the link to your new book, but retweeted it, and I’m going to buy hardcopies as Xmas gifts for quite a few fam and friends, which I’ve done in the past to glowing feedback!
As mentioned, I’m a TV/Film actor, and I’m curious to get your book mostly in hopes of increasing my memory retention by insane amounts. Acting is a blast…but memorizing lines is not. I dug your stuff on speed-reading – invaluable when turning around a 100-page script for an aud the next day – and hope to find a great hack for increasing memorization capacity. Outside of that, I’m also learning Spanish through http://www.memrise.com, but am open to improvements there. And I’m sure once I open the book, a few more genius methods will speak to me.
And boy, it sure would be nice to read all about them on a new Amazone Kindle Fire ;p
Thanks, and great job as usual – loving the blog posts as well.

Though I’m sure there are already over 300 submissions, I’d like to leave a comment anyway hoping the judges will consider this.
-As a cook in a busy SF restaurant and a full-time student at San Francisco State University, I try to balance my time well. I did the slow carb diet which kicked ass, but my biggest difficulty was eating right and on time at work during an 8 hour shift in the kitchen. Though I don’t plan on our food menu changing to fit my needs, I do hope to create healthier staff meals for all employees including myself without compromising taste.
-Occasionally I’ll go on Facebook but rarely do I post unless I’m trying to win something *ahem tickets to Vegas… But I’ve shared the link with over 778+ friends (779 real friends and not the person you just met who adds you after a 5 minute encounter) whom I’m sure will see what it is that I’m posting. Not only that, but I just received a Like as I conclude this entry. Cheers!

* Facebook liked.
* Posted to Facebook “Definitely recommended – knowing Tim you’ll not only learn to cook but speak other languages and build mad skills in a ridiculously short time.”
* Sent email to 6 friends. 3 of who I -know- will want to buy it for sure, 3 maybes. One of them bought 5 copies of the Four Hour Body on my say-so. Well, I’m saying so!
* Pre-ordered a copy for my 11 year old. He won’t care about cooking, but the kid teaches himself all kinds of skills off youtube and out of books. Including a paper balisong knife he took to school (big trouble), and solving the rubik’s cube. Even the slight chance that this book will help him be even more of an autodiadict is SO worth it.

I’ve tweeted, emailed, and added to my Amazon wish list for now. Additionally, I tend to be a very vocal proponent with my friends and coworkers (several have read The Paleo Solution after I read it per your recommendation).
I’ve been eating largely gluten free for many months and I’d love to get new ideas and recipes. Additionally, we spend a lot of our budget on local and organic foods for our daughter. With another baby on the way, it’d be very helpful to have new ideas for foods as well as extra knowledge about what is actually healthy and how we can incorporate that into family meals, as opposed to “adult” meals and “infant” meals as this takes a lot of time.
Tim, since reading the 4 Hour Work Week, you’ve never let me down. Your innovative thinking is inspirational and I’m sure this book will inspire and motivate me to be better in ways I’ve never considered or have struggled with in the past. I know you said the first 300, but hope you can make exceptions! Regardless of the winners, thanks for writing this book!

Girl- “If I could do anything half that good….”
Me- “His (Ferriss’) new book will actually teach you to master any skill…cooking is simply the beginning…”
Girl- Gets her computer out and pre-orders on the spot ,”you can be better at sex than me but you’re not going to be better at cooking than me…”
Greatest compliment of my life. Much appreciated good Sir.
…turns out, she told her friends around of my newly acquired “skill”. I have already received several texts regarding my “secret”….I simply reply with, “If you want to impress her, buy this book (4 hour chef)”
I am now an overnight legend, you have at least 3 more pre-orders (100% confirmed) and I’m sure many more will come for all your books as the word spreads
Which brings up my question….How can I prepare a 15 minute meal and complete “the 15 min O” at the same time?
Also – baking your own Protein/Health Bars? This would be awesome…
Othwise, I have posted the pre order link to my social media pages and have almost literally been telling everyone I come into contact with.
I am working on an email now to send out to my colleagues, classmates, and university faculty to share lifestyle design and how to learn “anything” with your new book.
From my experience, word of mouth has a much better purchase rate than social media ads, so hopefully, your pre orders will swell in the midwest these coming weeks from my “campaign”
Can’t wait for the read!
Regards,
Graham

Tim,
I am so excited for your new book. I share your concepts and facts whenever given the chance, and your 4-Hour series has by far had the largest impact of any publications I have ever had the chance to read.
I liked and shared your 4-Hour Chef Facebook post, along with the video you posted separately, to my 667 friends. I also retweeted you to my 126 followers on Twitter.
I’m sure I’m too late to be included in the Kindle Fire drawing, but I still wanted to spread the word since I am in full support of your literary works. Thank you so much!

Hi Tim,
1. Would most like to learn Paleo Cooking + some “showy” meals that win style points with your guests. Also more on languages and maybe some hard sciences? Even though I’m 32 I have the math skills of 14 year old.
2. I just built a site/landing page (www.timferrissnewbook.com) that links to your Amazon sales page. There are NO affiliate links there and I say as much on the page.
I also made a quick adwords campaign (contextual network, not search) with over 1,200 keywords (all derived from the phrases Tim Ferriss, Learn to cook, & How to learn). These are global ads aimed at English speakers.
I can get $0.01 clicks and I have a adwords coupon that I wasn’t using – so in essence I am not spending any money for this.
I can show you my adwords clicks, my site pageviews, and an analytic tracking on the link to Amazon to quantify.
Since I just made all this a few hours ago there will be a days delay on these analytics but I can take screenshots at 11:00am pst tomorrow.
Can’t wait for the book

Hi Tim. As with your other publications, I seek one thing – quality time. Whipping up good meals quickly, so that my time is spent catching up with my wife, and listening to my kids’ fun stories, rather than slaving over a hot stove. If this book is like your others, I am very optimistic.

3:12 pm
Tim I can’t wait for the new book. I loved 4HWW and 4 hour body but like most I’ve been waiting for this from you. I’ve already preordered a copy for both kindle and a hardcopy.
I’ve posted this on my personal and business of my facebook pages as well as my girlfriends which is about 2000 people. I’ve tweeted it on two twitter accounts which is about 500 more.
What I’m most excited about though is my gf is a high school english teacher in the Bronx who loves teaching that the most obvious way of doing and looking at things is rarely the best. I bought two copies of 4 hour body to put in her class. Several students read it and it really opened their eyes to a lot. I’m working with her now to get several copies of this new book into her classroom now. If I have to, I’ll just buy them and donate them myself.
Schools only teach test taking now so a book on how to learn skills is invaluable to them. I know it won’t help you sell a bunch of copies but I think its important.
I just wish it was coming out sooner.

3:16 pm
Tim, what I would really like to know is how to prepare quick heathful meals for the whole family and how to be able to look in the refrigerator and in an instant be able to recognize what I should be able to prepare that evening. My wife can do both in miliseconds it seems, while it takes me 1 hour to boil water.
My wife is going to night classes so I am now in a position where I can really help her with the cooking duties, but am averse to poisoning the kids and taking 3 hours to do so.
Your 4 Hour Body book allowed me to simplify my diet and take off a few unneeded pounds. I felt great about it, too. I am ready and eager to see you take your analysis and testing skills and apply them to the art of cooking.
I have shared the link on my Facebook and Google+ pages and tweeted the same. I don’t have a mountain of followers (200+ in each), but I have sold many on the 4 Hour Body book and I am convinced I can do the same for the skill of cooking.
Whether I win an Amazon Fire is a nice to have, but really the most important part is sharing your amazing books and knowledge with my friends and family. I think the Body book made a huge difference in some of their lives and I am hoping that your Cooking book overcomes some similar fears, yet brings people together in a weird way that only food seems to be able to.
Cheers,
Mark

I would like to learn how to condense learning time frames as well as imrpove memorization specifically with things like:
*Programming
*Music
*Languages
I am also interested in learning a new skill, and be able to cook better, it’s something I’ve been interested in for a while now.
On facebook I sent everyone online a link and told them to check it out, so much that they banned me momentarily for looking like spam. I also emailed everyone in my contacts list, and texted others I know will be interested.

- What I’d most like to learn in The 4-Hour Chef … how to overcome procrastination.
- In terms of spreading the word … After I purchased two copies of the book on Amazon (so I got the free shipping), I went ahead and posted a link on my facebook page where I have 214 loyal and dedicated friends who will tell two of their friends who will tell two of their friends who will tell two of their friends … until everyone in the world has heard about The 4 Hour Chef !

I also have been asking my available chat friends on Facebook to like my link. If they respond I then I thank them and ask them to pass it on to their friends.
Instead of only presenting the think to those that are interested, I have been asking people to help me win the contest. This way they have a reason to like the post even if the book does not interest them.

What I’d most like to learn in The 4-Hour Chef is how to easily prepare low- calorie, filling foods that I can take on an airplane with me as a frequent flier who eats too much fast food when he travels.
Recalling the lesson from the 4-Hour Workweek of the students who figured their chances of winning the plane ticket were so slim they simply didn’t try, I decided to enter this contest with only an email to all my friends titled, “I’ve agreed to be Tim Ferriss’s bitch for a free Kindle Fire.” It contained a link to the Amazon special offer and a brief summary of how your books, blogs and Random Show have caused me to radically re-design my life.
I realize such a meager effort isn’t in the high-powered tweet class, and miming in Michigan right now is out of the question because it’s cold outside, but my friends liked it. Too soon to tell whether I sold any copies for you but I’ve pre-ordered mine.
You’re the best Tim! Thanks for helping me see how to live a better life at 52.

Tim,
Loved the 4HWW and 4HB (Lost about 25 lbs becuase of it :)
-I’d like to learn more creative receipes that involve legumes and othr 4HB foods
-I work at a restaurant part time and the boss emails the schedule each week with all the employees email address’s as CC so I just sent all 25 employees the link to the 4 hour chef page and told them all a little about you.
-I posted this link on my facebook with my 300 friends
-I also emailed all of my relatives about your new book since they always asked me about how I lost so much weight so this will help sell the book
Hope I win,

I have pre-ordered the print and kindle versions of the book. I read the 4-Hour Body cover-to-cover practically without putting it down to rest and I cannot wait to read your new creation. I have liked you on Facebook, posted the link for this blog post with all the reasons why everyone should rush to pre-order on my FB Wall and I posted the link for your free sample of the 4-Hour Body to my wall with encouragement for all to see just how well you write so they would realize just what a steal the pre-order prices really are! I have spread the word about the 4-Hour Body to all the Navy Sailors I worked with when I first read it (I am a nurse for the military), and will be spreading the word to my co-workers about this new book now that I have move to a major military medical center. You put an extraordinary about of care and information into all of your books and they deserve to have the widest audience possible. It is time for people to learn how much better their life can be when they feed their body real food. Thank you for all of your contributions to living a better life!

Tim:
I shared with FB “Likes” & Twitter…hope it helps. I just got your 4HWW on disk about a month ago and have since listened to it 3 times. I’m still trying to figure out how to implement the concepts contained therein into my law enforcement career. I keep kicking myself for not reading it earlier and trying to become a case study under your direct coaching; as I am an avid student of personal development, and your teachings are the culmination of everything I’m looking for. You know the saying” When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”? Hello…nice to meet you Tim! I like cooking…that’s fine! As with the 4HWW and (recently ordered 4 Hour Body…haven’t received the shipment yet), I hope to study the “how to’s” of the teacher. One element extracted from any training which will ultimately shape the New Me….is all I’m looking for. Thank You Tim….email me….Kindle Fire or not. Dave L.

First, I want to use learning-techniques from The 4-Hour Chef to teach myself how to inspire and motivate others.
*****CREATED MOVIE TRAILER*****
WTF???????
That was my technique in promoting The 4-Hour Chef. WTF?!
0)*** CREATED MOVIE TRAILER for The 4-Hour Chef
1)*** Posted Movie Trailer on Facebook and Twitter
2)*** Linked Tim’s blog and Amazon page to Movie Trailer
Tim, I know I would be violating copyright laws if I was promoting my own book with this video. But I am promoting your book using your pictures. So if you don’t like this you can either —1) Politely ask me to remove this video and I will or —2) Shoot me an email with better photos, videos, and content and I’ll make you something even better!

An idea for this book or the next one.Is there any way to expand this experiences (meta-.learning,body recomposition or the 4-hww lessons) from a personal level to an enterprise, team or classroom level. I would really like to hear some acounts of that.
does anyone here have some examples to share? I am working on some experiments but still waiting for results.

andres- If you search through old blog posts and watch trial by fire, you can make some good predictions on what his super learning chapters should include. Tim tests his books(the slow carb recipe book donation drive was the market test) and sells the book to publishers before he writes them. Here’s some [learning] stuff I’d gamble on based on his TED talks, TBF, and blog posts:
>Training while lucid dreaming
>Speed reading, of course.
> Language learning(word leverage through frequency lists, materials over methods, etc.)
>Deconstructing and streamlining
>Practicing a physical skill by going through the motions right before bed, and 4.5 hours later between REM cycles.
>memorizing pi to 1000 digits through mnemonic style techniques.
>memorizing lists of words through mnemonic systems.
>The roman room method or method of locii for remembering speeches
I’ve done the above, and it takes 20 minutes to learn at buildyourmemory.com (not my site)
Geek’s Advantage would be stuff like how acetylcholine or other memory components work.
Call me a Tim nerd, but as part of my low info diet I only read actionable material now, and a lot of it is his, Ellsberg, and Ramit Sethi, and of course Seneca advises Lucilius to act like his heroes and ask “How would Ferriss do this?”

I’m interested in seeing how we can food hack. I want to see more ways to produce good quality food using simple methods similar to your how to boil an egg tutorial. Time is limited in our lives so I can imagine your recipes will be geared on making our lives easier. Not to mention I’m curious to how you’re helping us learn new things faster. I also want to see how your four hour body and four hour chef go together well.
You need a chapter on the Zombie Apocalypse on how to cook from non-perishable foods that taste well, while not causing the smell to attract the hoards.
I love cooking and I love learning so I look forward to this journey. Book is pre-ordered on hard cover.

-how to retain information after I’ve learned a new skill. I’m constantly learning, but also constantly forgetting.
-more tips on how to eat slow carb when traveling or not in complete control of getting food (especially breakfast & cooked veggies in every meal).
-how to help my clients make long term lifestyle changes.
-cook dinner party worthy slow carb meals
-how to develop a fancy schmancy palate for fine wines
I spread the word by:

I would like 4-hour chef to teach me ways to cook that go along with my current lifestyle. My lifestyle commands me to maximize effort into any given situation. Time is my biggest constraint; therefore, I need a system to cook that allows me to incorporate four major attributes:
• Flexibility
• Adaptability
• Synergy
• Time Saving
If this book is like your prior books in the 4-hour series, this is what I will get.

-I am in law school and I want to learn how to follow a diet that is easy to do and conducive to my success in school- KINDLE FIRE CONTEST-
Law school is HELL and makes it almost impossible to eat healthy. While The 4 Hour Body has given me many tips, I still find it hard to follow the diet due to the lack of time I have. This book is exactly what I had been waiting for and here is what I did to promote it:
-I wrote an email to my school’s listserv(roughly 400 people) telling them how this book will teach them how to maintain a healthy diet while at the same time help them beat law school. I sent them the link this post and to your two previous books.
-I also sent an email to my college fraternity’s listserve(634 people)
Please give me a Kindle Fire, it would make school much easier for me. I could put all my law school book on it and avoid having to carry 50 pounds on my back. I would buy one but simply cannot afford it due to all my loans.

I would like to learn how to be a better chef, as I am not a very good cook and I don’t particularly enjoy cooking. However, your books have inspired me in the past (I’m doing the slow carb now for my honeymoon in January!) and I know that this new book will be just as amazing and will make me want to cook. I already pre-ordered the Kindle edition for my Fire that is coming in the mail that I won from this post. Thanks Tim, for the Kindle Fire and mostly, for being such an inspiration. ;)

Eating and cooking is cool, understanding our emotional connection is a step toward greatness! Would love to share my best practices with you. I just ordered the Kindle book! How to promote healthy cooking / eating / shopping with young adults transitioning into independence. Most importantly would be to teach our foster children that are “aging out of the system”, living on their own. They need a model on how to shop and prepare healthy food. 60,000 children are currently in Foster care in California alone. Although there are new programs to help these youth transition till they are 21, there is still a need for a more ‘meta’ level of learning, I’d like to promote those youth to using those skills to apply themselves to anything they want to achieve.
Thanks to you I also learned about Donors Choose, and I encourage anyone reading this to look into donating to them.

I would like to learn how to rule the world. I have some fun ideas that I think could lighten things up a bit i.e. I would demand the best 20% of Monty Python sketches account for 80% of all television watched. If that proves too difficult I would settle for learning to play the violin. Thanks Tim, for all your inspiration. Cheers!

I am most interested in how to learn anything from The Four Hour Chef!
I bought and read The 4-Hour Work Week right as you were launching the 4-Hour Body (which I also bought and read and LIVE). I’ve been living it big (but I’m much smaller/fitter now) on the 4-Hour Body lifestyle. It’s improved my quality of life way more than I can describe in this blog. I am passionate in my pursuit to help others be successful on the slow carb diet. I probably spend way too much time doing that rather than implementing the 4WW and therefore, I know I cannot match the number of “clicks, page views, etc.” I did however tweet and Google+ my excitement and your link. I’ll be posting on my FB page first thing in the morning (Thurs)…somebody beat me to it on a 4-Hour Body group. Lastly, I pre-ordered both the hardback and Kindle versions of The Four Hour Chef and I can’t wait. I wish you the best. Thanks for helping me improve the quality of my life. Congrats to all the Kindle Fire winners…maybe once I read the How to Learn Anything part of The Four Hour Chef, I’ll be one of your upcoming contest winners ;). Kanpai!

Would love to learn how to make truly excellent pizza at home.
-Shared this post on Facebook with my 1k+ friends
-Stumbled this post
-Used some leftover paint (I teach English to kids so I tend to have a lot) and painted (well, traced and then painted) one of the silhouettes from the book cover on the back of a white t-shirt along with the fourhourblog.com URL. Then, I walked to my Spanish school here in Madrid! Walked down Gran Via, through Puerta del Sol, and a few of the other streets in Centro where a lot of the English speaking tourists are. Was tempted to write something along the lines of “Conoces ‘La Semana Laboral de 4 Horas’? Compra el libro nuevo de Tim Ferriss!”, but I didn’t see a link anywhere for the book in other languages and didn’t want to disappoint anyone!
Best of luck!

I want to learn how to apply consciousness (mind, will, etc.) to daily life practices so that I can effect the most change in my life, both for myself and for others (and if I can learn how to cook fast, healthily, and deliciously at the same time, that would be awesome).
I have just posted the link on Facebook. I live in the UK, which is why I’m a bit behind peeps. However, I will also make the commitment – here, now – to post something on my blog about how I integrate your lessons into my life for the NEXT SIX MONTHS (that is, if I manage to get my hands on a Kindle to read your book).
My blog is here: integralnisus.com

Damn! All of the entries are very good: how can I compete against that? My job is writing a PhD in philolosophy, and I don’t own a company that can plug your work…
So, besides blogging DAILY about how I integrate the content of your book for the NEXT SIX MONTHS, I will add to the Foreword of my Ph.D. thesis, how your books (I was blown away by your first two) has helped me to live a transformative life that allowed me to do excellent research.
Thanks for that, Tim!

Tim, you should check http://www.launchrock.com for 1 of your campaigns, it is a launch page where people can subscribe and they can get access to the real content by spreading it via facebook/ twitter which is featured in the launch page.
This tool is not mine but has been very helpful for me in easy spreading the news + measuring the success of it with referral links etc. + it is creating more e-mails for your database. pretty easy to use feature and for free.
Was thinking about setting it up to spread your book and get one of these kindles but the advise is worth that alone ;) and it saves me time :)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! would be interesting to see what you think of launch rock.

Hi Tim! Since I loved 4HWW and 4HB, and the premise seems more than intriguing I pre-ordered this book from Amazon! Hope you make the best seller list! Thank you!
To help spread the word I:
1) Posted you to my facebook with 400 friends.
2) Contacted over 15 relatives, seven of whom have bought, read, and loved both of your books so far.
3) Proposed the book and your blog as information for my entrepreneurship class.

Hey Tim,
?JAPANESE. Would love for your book to dissect how to learn Japanese. It’s something you know and as you also know there is a niche in Japan for all of us foreigners trying to learn it and a lot of money to be made. There isn’t a foreigner I’ve met who hasn’t bought at least 3-4 different resources trying to grasp Japanese. I send a personal challenge to you to dedicate one of your chapters to Japanese…you’ll score BIG TIME over here.
?Pre-ordered the book today and shared in on my twitter acct. Pretty sure this contest excludes me since I live in Japan but it’s all good because I believe in your material.

What I would like to do with my pre-ordered The 4-Hour Chef, is to learn how to develop habits that stick, like losing belly fat and focusing on work.

EVERYONE’S gone the internet route…and I have to believe that people tech-savvy enough to be connected with all these people have heard of you before, and will probably catch wind of the book in some form of media.
So…as an advance Christmas gift, I gave 3 copies of the 4 Hour Body to coworkers. The best way to get someone excited about your new book is to introduce them to 4HB… If they’re anything like me(and they are) they’ll see results from the book and eagerly await the release of your new book.

-Let’s be honest, what I am most interested in learning in this book is really just about the tequila hot chocolate…but it would be interesting too to learn how to roast a bird over a campfire like on the cover graphic
-I reposted on facebook commenting that anything that can be learned in a total of 4 hours works well with my attention span, or lack thereof
-I shared a like of this blog post with my 460 facebook “friends” and enemies
-Well, whether I win the Kindle Fire or not…I think I will still be getting the book for myself, and as gifts for a couple of friends who could definitely use help in the kitchen before I ever accept an invitation for dinner again!

- What I’d most like to learn in the 4-Hour Chef is how to indulge a great passion of mine (cooking) while trimming all the unnecessary fat from the process. Yes, that was a brutal word pun…
- Facebook liked
- Facebook shared (300+ friends)
- Google+’d
- Misc. past work: I’ve made every recipe from The Slow-Carb Cookbook Volume 1 (the free bonus download from The 4-Hour Body). I’ve hosted lots of fun friend dinners using the recipes, and my friends in turn have been spreading the word.
Would love to have gotten my comments in sooner, and would love to give more metrics on my impact, but I’m currently in the Patagonian outback on a mountain biking trip, an organic grass-fed bife de lomo needs my attention, and this dial-up connection is killing me.
Cheers Tim!

I am a sell out. The 4 hour chef is live and kicking. If you go through, it would be awesome if you clicked ‘like’ on this link, so I can see how many people I’ve made aware of this book, which judging by the his last books, is going to be awesome! http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2011/11/29/the-4-hour-chef-the-first-kindle-fire-book-teaser/ PS yes I do want a kindle fire!

Hey Tim:
Really stoked about your new book.
I was a stay at home dad for quite some time. Maybe with that title some guys lose a little self confidence, I’m sure I did at some point, but I decided to make every moment of this time with my kids at home count. So I decided to go beyond boiling water for spaghetti and learn how to cook and it has become a passion!
Your books have inspired me to to keep learning and challenge myself. I am looking forward to seeing your perspective on the art of food as a learning tool. I hope to learn even more ways of how to be a better chief and condense the learning process even quicker.
To promote your book I’ve sent out emails, retweets, Likes on Facebook and posted a link to your promotional video on my Facebook page.
Best of luck and I hope it is another New York Times Bestseller!

I would like to learn by experiencing the book and forensically analyzing why and how the teaching theory (Mind Hack) is presented in your work.
TARGET DATE FOR A PRELIMINARY REPORTON PROGRESS IS December 1, 2011
Here is SPECIFICALLY what was and is being done. Step by Step;
OUR ULTIMATE GOAL: is to identify as many Social Media venues the public is commenting or blogging about regarding Tim Ferris and or 4-Hour Body, Slow Carb Diet using these Free Listening Posts then drive to this site using Trust Agent Strategies:
1) Google Alert/ Yahoo Alert
2) Google Reader
3) Technocrati
4) Google Blog Search
5) Twitter Track
6) Friendfeed
7) Social Mention
Start using that Listening Post first as a proof of concept and then move on to the next one.
WHAT IS THE INFORMATION WE NEED: AS IF YOU WERE SEARCHING IN “GOOGLE”, enter/use the key word or phrase or a NEW ‘related’ word or phrase, to FIND BLOGS or MENTIONS ON THE NET, YouTube etc (that have comments below) where people are discussing ANYTHING FERRIS.
Next Step
Once you have identified that the Blog or Article etc. is “active and appropriate” and has a discussion or group or community or comments, that match what you have searched for, Copy the URL to a master list so that we can eventually get back to that URL and participate in THEIR discussions. With the goal of sharing with them AMAZING CONTENT that will eventually drive them back to the Ferris sites.

Tim,
The cover of you book is currently being displayed at my two diet centers, one in Chicaho and the other in a northern suburb of Cicago, Glenview ,IL. I have left the signs up along with the amazon address until X-mas comes. We currently have 423 diet clients that will check in at the two clinics and the first thing they will see is the cover of your new book. Another 2127 people received my newsletter that went out last night with the cover of your book on it as well as the amazon link. Lastly the book cover is displayed at our 2 group excercise locations. Of course the blogs carry it as well. Good luck with the book the last 2 were the bomb.
The one area I found that has never really been addressed that my clients ask for all the time is for a base of food that could be cooked and then tweaked so they could get numerous meals out of it. Let me explain. Instead of going to the grill and cooking 1 chicken breat to make 1 meal have then cook 2-4 chicken breats and have the ability to tweak the ingredients or share a few common things but at the same time make a different meal. Slaads are a great example as well take one giant salad with a certain few ingredients as your base ,but then give them two different sets of ingredients to cahnge the base and come out with 2 very different salads. Good luck with the book.

To learn how to get the most out of a very short life.
I’m 39 with a great wife and 3 great children. I love life and have realized that being happy and fulfilled requires mostly love and growth. Growth requires learning and learning requires time. With all the day-to-day demands on me I don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to learning new things/ growing. Your past advice – and this new book is exactly what I need to learn quickly and live a happy and fulfilled life.
I have “liked” your new book on Amazon and Facebook in addition to posting on my Facebook account (600+ friends). Like I do with all your books I’ll continue to buy and share with my friends.
Keep up the great work. Your insights have made such a positive impact on my life!

Maybe there is some setting you can tweak in Amazon that makes it available to sell to people down under?

Hi Tim,
Just following up on this – it’s definitely a geographic issue.
I hate to think how many international pre-orders you’ve lost because of some setting in Amazon that is restricting pre-orders to the USA only (and maybe Canada & UK?).
However, there is a solution – I just figured out how to pre-order from here in New Zealand.
Log into your Amazon account, select “Your Account”, then “Manage Your Kindle” and finally “Country Settings” you can change your postal address.
Put in a USA address, hit save and you will be able to pre-order. You can then repeat the steps to reset it to your real postal address.
No kindle required – I don’t own a kindle myself – I just use the Kindle App and Cloud Reader.
Rather a lot of effort to save $4 but for those people that really want to pre-order now outside of the USA… there you go.

I’m writing this only because I liked 4-Hour Work Week immensely. While the book hasn’t changed my life, yet, it created a sea change in my outlook.
So much, I follow your blogs, and pay due homage to Ferrisisms: How to travel light, go 12 countries without any luggage, unf*** a broken Mac, get to be NYT’s no 1 bestseller ..oh yes, even boil an egg.
Didn’t go for your 2nd book. I’m a 63 year old grandmother. Not especially into building my bod, or enhancing my sex drive. Just want health enough to go about having fun — travelling, reading, writing, babysitting…
From your 3rd book, I’ll look for: How to vamoose from the kitchen in 15 minutes flat. With a wholesome, nutritious bite. Now, why is someone my age – and a strict vegetarian, to boot – following you, the bratty, overconfident, pipsqueak? Because ,Tim Ferris, you make sense. And quite often, OMG.
Am passing the word around through links in my email, and Facebook. From Mumbai, India.

Hi Tim,
Can’t wait for the book, already got the Kindle (plus I’m like the 800 and something person to post), but I do want to respond to a question you asked about the book cover, “Let me know what you think.”
Okay, let me preface this with I’ve been a graphic designer for the past 20+ years, lots of awards, blah blah blah. Mainly in publication (200+ book designs, 3000+ magazines, 10,000+ ads).
The design is excellent, wouldn’t change a thing. But, what have you ever found appetizing that was black, gray and green? This is a cookbook, oui?
This is just a suggestion (I know the covers have already been printed), but consider for the next printing:
• Replace the black with either a maroon or reddish brown
• Replace the gray with a cream
• Knock out all the green copy to white
• Leave the black copy black
That is, unless your going for the most eye-jarring combination so the book will be seen from across the store. :)

Hi TIM… 1st YOU ROCK xx
you are a superstar and im sooooooooo excited to read the 4HC … loved the 4HB and did the “lifestyle eating plan” for 10 days before i went in for brain surgery 17 days ago .. felt really great on it and lost about 4-5kgs (about 12 pound) … being home now and recovering from my surgery it has been a little harder to arrange my meals but i’m having a 4HB breakfast everyday (which i never use to do) … but i have 50kgs to go and yours is the only diet/lifestyle eating plan i have ever thought i could and would stick with .. THANK YOU …
As much as i would really love the kindle (i didnt see the blog untill just now ) as i have been super busy doing charity work .. i volunteer for basket brigade … we pack and deliver xmas hampers for the underprivileged so today i was out buying toys for 450 families.. it is so rewarding .. helping others in need also helps me heal faster ..
I cant wait to get stuck into the recipies and hopefully there will be lots of non dairy options … (i dont like the taste of dairy – my thighs love me for that) and it is soo hard buying cookbooks that are dairy free .. so i end up being a bit of this and a bit of that cooker …
anyway .. thank you again for writing this new book and i cant wait to see you back in Australia …
Live with Passion and Purpose

This is a follow-up to my first post. To quantify the impact, I checked the statistics on StumbleUpon and it looks like this page currently has 267 views and 17 people who like it via StumbleUpon.
Interestingly, in the “related pages” there is a link to 100 Useful Search Engines for Chefs, Cooks and Food Lovers: Seems like a great – if a bit overwhelming – collection of links for the aspiring chef. http://www.culinaryschoolguide.org/blog/2008/100-useful-search-engines-for-chefs-cooks-and-food-lovers/

You should note on your blog that the Kindle version, for $5.99, is not yet
available on Amazon and maybe you could advise us when it is. See link
below and “Not currently available” note.

Log into your Amazon account, select “Your Account”, then “Manage Your Kindle” and finally “Country Settings” you can change your postal address.
Put in a USA address, hit save and you will be able to pre-order. You can then repeat the steps to reset it to your real postal address.

Out of the 598 buyers on my Aweber list. 360 opens, 117 clicks and 2 unsubscribes. That’s better than most of the promotions I offer.
And the 1k+ Facebook Friends, definitely saw it. Didn’t use a domain forwarder for tracking.

Hey Tim, I wanted to preorder the Kindle edition, but on the Amazon.com page it says “pricing information not available”. Now I found out why: my Kindle was registered to Germany as my country of residence. I changed it to the US, and now I could preorder.
Maybe you should inform your international followers how to preorder the Kindle edition?

@Michael thank you. Your suggestion worked perfectly. Just changing your Kindle Device settings to a US address (even a made up one) worked a charm.

I had £55 in free adword credits and wanted to see what google adwords was all about so I set up a campain.
I thought your target audience would be males between 18-35, and specifically those looking to learn how to cook. When I thought about why males in that age were going to want to cook I figured that they would be cooking for their girlfriend – so I targeted “romantic” and “romance” because they’d be wanting to impress their girlfriends. I was going to use “romantic dinner” but Google adwords said it wouldn’t get enough hits and I wanted to use up my free credit in the 48 hours.
My ad was:
Become a Chef in 4 Hours?
Impress your girlfriend with
an amazing romantic dinner
http://www.amazon.com
My stats were 91 click through for 59,237 impressions. I used my amazon affiliate code and it looks like no one ordered so I guess my experiment wasn’t very effective.
I know I probably should have done some split testing but wasn’t sure I had enough time to do so – I guess that’s the next thing I need to learn.
All in all it was a good experiment and I learnt that adwords isn’t very user friendly… I think there might be an opportunity for me in that.

Hey Tim,
I LOVE all your stuff 4HWW, the 4HB, and now the 4-Hour Chef. I recently bought a Kindle Fire before reading your post that you were giving away free ones…crap! Oh well…however I did download the Kindle Teaser App and “was” going to buy the book on Amazon, but the App froze my Kindle while looking at the dissection of the Cow, and now I can’t turn my Kindle off to reset it.
Any help would be great :)

Hi Tim,
Just wanted to echo Jay’s comments on the book cover color–the current color scheme doesn’t seem very appealing to me. Black & green feels very “hackerish”, which could be great if you’re still going for that “life hacking” angle, but I think whites and blues, or whites with green/black text would be much cleaner, appealing for food, and for the masses.
I actually know a bunch of people who found even the 4-Hour Body color scheme a bit off-putting, most were female who felt the book seemed a bit masculine at first glance.
In general, white and blue are the best for broad audiences–one reason Nintendo choose those colors for branding the Wii back in 2006, and we all know how well that turned out. :) They’re both great unisex colors, represent positive vibes, etc.
Finally, I wanted to suggest a modification of the person with the fire on the left. You might try changing it to someone with a basket picking vegetables from a garden. Unless the content of the book is heavily meat-based, this will net you a ton more vegetarian types who might otherwise be turned off by this. It could also be a cool nod to Steve Jobs, who picked veggies from his own garden for pretty much his whole life.

I have to be honest I’m put off from my last experience, I ordered 4HWW from B&N (one of the first 1000 signed issues) and it never arrived – it was also costly for the shipping from US to Malaysia.
Very disappointing :(

It would be nice to see who won the kindles and how many books were pre-sold. I have taken down the signs at my 4 centers as I feel this was a marketing scam and no more. Smart –you got me. Fool me once shame on me…
December 7th, 2011
11:04 am
The email stating that I won had me blind copied, and I am sure this was the same email that went to 49 other people. As a matter of privacy, I’m sure Tim won’t be posting names of winners.
As far as marketing scam, I think not. Ferriss has a pretty good idea how to market, and having a contest is a great way to get attention brought to you. He used social media to it’s fullest by having us willing post a link for him in order to win something. Think of all of the free advertisement he just got. Scam? Hardly.
The rules were very simple to enter, and as I look at a lot of the comments posted, the criteria to enter were not met.
I’m just an ordinary dude, and I won. I’m pretty happy about it.

It’s not a scam – I was selected as well (same bcc e-mail).
Tim knows what he’s doing, marketing-wise (and apparently in most other areas of life). Amazon probably gave him a whole boatload of Kindle Fires since he’s the first big author that Amazon is publishing, so I’m sure that he is actually giving them away.
My eyes will be on my mailbox for the next few weeks =)

Ahhh, I always get so paranoid about my email’s spam filter eating things I need, but in this case I just know I didn’t win. (That’s probably self-deprecating, but it’s easier to live with than an email client screwing up.) Oh well, some of the submissions I saw were really neat, and I look forward to self medicating on my very own pastries when the book comes out!

I agree. Closure needed.
I am not sure if I won one. Did the email get lost/filtered? I don’t think it’s a confidentiality issue since we can already see everyone’s entries. Zagg gives out iPads and lists thier winners.

At first glance I thought the cover was a two-piece rock band like the Black Keys or the White Stripes (drummer on the left, singer on the right). Maybe that’s a good thing.

Tim,
Thanks for the inspiration! My wife even got on board with the 4HWW idea. I have published my 1st book, No 3 Putts, and it is starting to take off. I keep going back to 4HWW for ideas. It is nice to see the progression of the 4HWW concepts into new areas.
Thanks Again!!

I’m about to start the diet and I must admit that the no-fruit thing is one of the things that has me a bit worried. I’ve eaten a fresh fruit / yoghurt blend for my breakfast for decades. This is going to be a major switch for me. I figure I’ll binge on some fruit on my cheat day.
I think I know the answer, but I’ll ask anyway.
I’m a foodie and know that I’m going to be creating / seeking out more than simple recipes for this diet. That’s just what will work best for me. I’ve encountered many interesting mediterean and north african recipes that include legumes and meats with some very interesting spices, but they also include some dried fruits (e.g., apricots, raisins). Is the condiment-style use of fruit also off-diet. I’m guessing yes, since they’ll have the ill-effects on the glucose stuff regardless of their minor role. Was just curious though. Any insight is appreciated.

ezFoodOrder helps CHEFS who are incentivized with a complete web-based ordering solution that eliminates manual processes when ordering from companies like… Sysco, US Food, PFG, Gordon Foods & Cheney Brothers. This system provides best of local market pricing every week and saves the average operator $525-$900 a week in grocery expense! At 150 cases per week, that can be $27,000 – $47,000 less per year!
ezFoodOrder belongs in your book, because it eliminates manual processes when ordering from food rep punks…Lol Tim. I know you’re not a food rep.
As a restaurant investor, How important would it be to boost your profits
